Hi, I've searched the internet for some Scout helmet ideas and found nothing too recent about it. I am planning on using Scouts in a Stormraven and think they oughta wear some helmets before jumping out the back of a moving aircraft.

What are some good suggestions for scout heads. I'm not opposed to converting GW or third party.

I used Tempestus Scion heads and it worked pretty well, just had to cut down the necks some to the proper angles to make them fit.

Pig Iron Productions has a huge range of head sprues available, I've always thought the system trooper ones look pretty decent for representing scouts:

I'm a big fan of the new Stormtrooper head's on them, the full facemask ones, not the beret's. The Anvil Industry guys with NVG's might work as well, but they might be slightly too big, also there are the Eisenkern from Dreamforge that fit.

I used the Elysian drop troop heads from FW for some of my scouts, they look pretty darn good too.

And these are the Dreamforge heads I was talking about. These are on Scions, but they work on scouts as well, need to dremel out the neck on the body, or clip it on the helmet, either way.

The Vanguard heads from the nek Skitarii would look nice. The Ranger heads would be great for Dark Angels ones.

There is one story about a Wolf Scout in which he talks about how he hates the Scout Armour helmets. He describes them as being full glass faced and getting glass shards in his face every time he got punched in the face... which is why nobody uses the helmets.

So, to get the full glass face effect, I used Pig Iron Studios helmets. I forget the number, but you'll be able to find them on their site easily enough.
