I'm working on a board with a small (About 16x7 out of the 2ftX2ft board) ocean section off in one corner, and I want to put a boat in there so that the corner isn't useless for deployment and such. Problem is, I cant seem to find any ships in the 28mm scale that'd fit in the space while still being able to hold 5 or 6 models. Does anywhere sell something like this?

Ainsty Castings do many boats (if you have any questions, email him and Andy will give you a reply very quickly and very cordially, just remember it was Salute yesterday).

I can confirm the quality is damn high, my go-to scenery place at any/all trade-shows.

Are you looking for sci-fi, fantasy, or modern? Because if memory serves you can buy WWII you LCACs in about the right scale for pretty cheap. There's a site that sells lots of toys like that but bugger if I can remember it now.

Mostly looking for some fantasy or steam-punk looking boats, just something that'd fit into the Warhammer Fantasy asthetic

Awesome thread and links! Thanks, going to have to pick some of them up, for a purely building and painting standpoint.

Michael's carries a lasercut wooden pirate ship for $5 in their wooden crap section. It's not beautiful but it's cheap and it would probably clean up well if you replace the masts with dowels.

Check out Old Glory's massive selection of boats from a wide variety of eras. Lots of possibilities for fantasy or steampunk ships there and they're quite cheap. Don't be frightened off the byt 25mm label, they're the right scale for what you're looking for.

They're also quite affordable. I've seen them in person and they're great.

Further, if they're coming to a convention near you, you can prepay and skip the shipping costs and they'll bring it to the show.

You can also look for 1/48 scale plastic model kits of boats.
