If you wanted it to be more akin to the Custodes in the fluff you could try to use eldar or high elf helmets, as they have that pointy look. Just a suggestion. Looks great anyways!

Nice!
I didn't realise the age of sigmar miniatures were so big and I'm actually a little disappointed lol. The first second I saw them I thought that they would make amazing space marine veteran squads or commanders with only a tiny amount of effort.

Looking forward to seeing that painted up!

It has now had the backpack and helmet plume removed and the top of the helmet is being built up into a cone...

I will get this one looking a bit more recognisably like a custode (but will be keeping the weapons as they are).

Still very WIP though

Because I am a sculptor and I like to sculpt?

Why enjoy my hobby when I can just glue a bit on to hurry things along?

It isn't finished yet and will have a glorious eagle on the front of the helmet, with armoured vents on the mask and many other details that would also need to be sculpted onto a High Elf head (which, I expect, would be too small for such a large miniature anyway).

I was wondering how you approach sculpting blades form plastic?
Every time I try it my result is uneven and lacks symmetry. Now I know your halberd is WIP so the curve is not perfect but I was wondering how it holds up against the other side? Do you have a specific technique?

It's a cool idea, but I don't think the Mk7 faceplate really works with the armour style.

Very nice to see another with the same idea as I.
I thought of Custodes the minute I saw the sculpts of the Stormcast Eternals. I will be mocking one together this Friday when I get my hands on the starter box, so we will see how mine turns out.

I used a High Elf head head in my last conversion and it turned out ok, but I like your idea and am very intrigued to see your sculpting and the mini finished!
