UPDATE TIME

work on the Ousian Riverine continues.

To finish the first veteran squad, I will need to assemble one more meltagunner, finnish assembling the APC and then paint the lot of them. Now begins the search and scavenging for the last meltagun trooper.

C&C welcome.

It's been a while since I've been here. I really like how you are going to use the M113, I always loved those models (have a few of them left from when I was a wee lad painting military models) and the recent (recent for me anyway) size creep w/ all the new stuff has made the M113 a viable model scale-wise for Rhinos and Chimera "counts as" vehicles.

The paint scheme is tight and I really like your use of colors. Everything fits together well and I'm glad to see you're back on this project.

wow, scenery look really good, tho i think it would have been better to use wood rather than cardboard....the edges are a downer for me a bit.... nice idea with the tapetree, tho i think it could do with a layer of some glue or else to make some of the edges covered.... what keeps me glues however to this thread are the great headswaps you do with your minis, always some new ones that look so cool!

cheers, vik

Thanks everybody! I got a new guardsmen on the way, his base is moments from drying, and the result will be posted here. Alas, no further work on the M113.

also, can someone help me decide what to do for an emblem? I don't know what insignia I will put on the right shoulder plate. I'm stumped for ideas, best I can come up with is a dragon or a skull, which are both hard to paint on such a small surface. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

WIPs. Not much to be happy about yet. -shrug-

Also, a tip from a one-time Guard player: cut off the back-pack slots on the Guardsmen's backs, it makes them look so much nicer. Smooth it down after of course. That is of course unless you're actually putting a Vox, back-pack or fuel tank on their back..
