I will be honest- no one did anything really significant. The problem is, the ravenwing marines scouted ahead and then managed to assault on turn 1... it was rather one sided i'm afraid, the snipers didn't even have time to fire a shot.

We need to find a better battle plan. Were we fighting on equal terms? I.E. we stick to jungles and forest and they're in open?

Im sorry that we under preformed, I think knowing it wasnt a real battle meant I wasnt at my best. Seems pointless fighting when you cant smell the coppery tang of spilt blood and feel the skulls of our enemies crumple under our treads. If blood isnt being spilt I cant feel the Emperors fire in my soul. Next time I will earn the Wrath back some kills.

My investigations have led me to the industrial planet of ******, on your order to deal with the renegade inquisitor. It is in this task that i made contact with the Sanctioned Psyker (Alpha Level) attached to the catachan 222nd on your order. As your source suggested, he has been a valuable asset. As i ascertained from Altzer, a psychic storm interupted the vessel transporting the catachan regiment on. Luckily, due to his presence- the transport maintained it's course in warp space. It would appear that this was the first of the five attempts your source foresaw. The second occurred during a training exercise, against a dark angel force. Not only where the catachans out gunned severely, but again, evidence of tampering was evident. Luckily this time, Lord commissar Von Humps had what he described in a later interview as a 'hunch' which he claims to have frequently (suggested for psyker screening, may just be caused by close affiliation with Alpha Psyker Altzer) This hunch led him to inspect the practice weapons, to discover that the catachan equipment had been replaced with live ammunition. Had the guardsman slain even a single brother of the deathwing, the retribution would have been great- with pressure to disown the 222nd as renegade.
This is the report up to now, i do not know what the next 3 challenges for the regiment will be, but all i can hope is that your source is correct (i shall assume it is of a xenos breed and inquire no further) and that on the 6th attempt, the hand who is forcing these 'unfortunate' coincidences is revealed and the lone female will bring the emperors divine justice. This female however my lord is still unknown as the 222nd have no females in their contingent. Through further investigation on recent requisition, we can assume, my lord that the '4 catachan devils' are indeed the artillery support of the regiment, as rarely will a catachan regiment take a single tank, let alone 4. The third factor, the unlikely ally is also yet unknown, although i might hypothesize that this is where your contact will come into their own.
