What kind of hilt are you looking at in sense of design ?

I take a piece of PC shape it connect it at the top and bottom of the handle, then design the shape and detail on to the card and remove any sections in between the design.

If you get my drift ?

Yes, my approach should work, I did it on a small scale mini so should translate to larger scale with ease.
The sword is looking great so far, with the hilt added will really finish it .

Interesting. But also with a bot, a swivel joint for the sword is also nice, then it becomes a whirling blade of doom!

Ah, to make the blades whirl, a more Universal Joint approach to the sword is what i was suggesting.

Yeah the CGI animated series showed his hide-a-way, he had statues made of his transition from a living being to almost total cyborg to be a better merc fighter.

My German is limited to such delightful phrases such as:

It's not good in more ways than one.


Too bad a small motor wouldn't be able to fit into the arm though, so the blade spins slowly and menacingly. Though it doesn't really suit a sabre.
