If there's a unit posted then you can decide what you post against it. If you post an Ork against it, then feel free to. If you want to put a Landraider against it, then why not?

XV88 and XV9 are also mentioned a lot, (especially Tau players), why not ban them?

It used to be a lot of fun, untill a couple of guys came and decided to make up new rules or people start debating if the posted unit would really beat them.

But in the end, it's just another thread on the forum after all.

If you were to ban XV88 and XV9s, you'd be banning tau as an entire codex. In fact, while we're at banning the tau, why don't we just ban fething everything in the entire game that isn't vanilla marines? Still not good enough let's do tac squads and Land Raiders only and see how Fun it gets.

XV88s are the only legitimate anti-tank option in the entire tau codex. Therefore, land raider posted, XV88 posted. No fun, quick to lock.

Using high AV vehicles dooms this thread to AV14 Vehicle<Anti Tank><Horde><AV14 Vehicle.

"Models hit by an implosion missile must take a characteristic test based on their Wounds value (the one on their profile, not current wounds). No, Farsight would break him in CC.

Farsight has +1 str, +1 W and +1 A, as well as a much bigger plasma weapon, a 4++ and a power weapon. You wish the sorcerer would win.

Sorc swings first, ignores armour, with rerolls to hit to wound. farsight swings back with probs one wound left unless the sorc gets atrocious rolls, not that it matters, farsight only needs to have taken one wound. farsight causes on average about 2 wounds, of which one could be saved, congrats either tied combat ot sorc wins outright, but then the force weapon kicks in and anihillates any remaining wounds that farsight may have

They are both I5, so there is no reason for the sorcerer to be attacking first.

Let's do it this way:

Farsight charges, gets five attacks. 2.5 hits, with the str5 that's wound on threes so about two, and with the invul save that's still about two but slightly less.

And then your sorcerer attacks, 2 hits, with str that's 4's to wound, meaning one wound, and then 4++ granted by shield generator means 0.5 wounds.

Then Farsight goes against.

You really, really won't win.

again its not going to be 0.5, I will reiterate for your benifit

I hit on 4's, so 50% with warptime, i get to reroll that, so total 75% hit rate (ishy) so three hits out of four, but most rolls will give you all of them, so 3-4 hits, then the same for the wounds, so in the end your going to get wounded 2-4 times, so we will call that three, youll save one of those on your 4+ save thats two wounds, then afterwards the force weapon knocks you down...
