Bloodbrides are a unit that fills an Elite slot. Basically better Wyches, and can take a special weapon per 3 models, instead of 5.
So, in a unit of 10, you get 3 special weapons instead of 2.

That's exactly three hits, not "but some will give you four" three is the result.

Then you wound on 5's I believe, so that's 1 wound, and then I have shield generator, so that's 0.5 wounds.

Lol dw about it, me and my friends just mock each other ruthlessly, sometimes I do it to random people without realizing

And I was thinking about his strength 5 and got confused

Either way, end result is 0.75 I.E. less than one.
