Yes. And is he the only one who picked that race? I mean there's the dude who has the dog ears, but he otherwise still looks human. Cat Man is the only one I recall seeing who's so blatantly animal like that. It must be a horribly balanced mmo for their racial distribution to be so screwed.

He does say that there was a guild of cat-people that he joined, so there must be a few others - maybe there'll be more in the next season? I don't dislike Nyanta, but I gotta say, the whole thing with him and Serara is a bit... creepy...

What should be mentioned here is that most peoples "age" in-game seems to be based on level. A bit how Shiroe turned into a little kid when he too the level cut to tech the kids.

True, but IIRC Shiroe and Naotsugu have a conversation about how old they think everyone is, and they think Nyanta is middle-aged, and Serara is still at school - but then, they also thought Akatsuki was a "grade schooler", so their age-guessing record isn't too good

Well Akatski is a bit 'weird' in the size department. She made her avatar be closer to her appearance in real life, but I guess she is just really short .

We talked about Pedo-cat before when the season was still airing. I completely agree that having a middle aged game character and a school aged game character pair up like that is weird, even if the people playing them are closer to age in real life. But i do believe it was mentioned that he is like middle aged in real life.
As far as his cat race goes, they could be from another region? We get to see the Southern region in the upcoming season, so there could be more there? That'd still be a pretty odd distribution since the only other player character race appears to be human with ear customization

Animal ears seems to be more of an Japanese thing (IIRC, it's from Shinto), so he could be from another country.

You see a handful of them during the whole training camp thing but the distribution is still horribly wonky. You see like 2 among trainers and maybe 2 among the kids.

I just watched Blue Spring Ride and other than one creepy misstep in the middle I enjoyed the heck out of it. My inner 15-year-old-girl had my grinning during the entire thing. I don't have to describe what this is, you don't even have to look at a plot summary to know what this is. Just a glance at the cover picture tells you everything you need to know.


God I enjoy this gak way too much for a grown-ass man.

It's so fantastically exhuberant! The animation could be better, and the episodes aren't nearly long enough, but if they're continuing it (as I hope they are) all that should improve. I mean, look at ReBoot when it first started, compared to where it was a couple seasons later.

Yeah. A lot of the designs look like a modern version of the original Universal Century Gundams, though the robot designs are way too goofy for my liking. No where near sharp enough. I do however love the work of Kenichi Yoshida (he did the character designs for Eureka Seven).

It also shows that this was written by the same guy who wrote Turn A. By far one of the stranger Gundams released and only 2 episodes in no less.

Mmm no it's not weirder than any typical Gundam Series, they all have a very similar setting and way of story telling. A very cool original opening first episode though! That's quite amazing by Gundam standards, as they all usually follow a few of the same openings. The art style and mech design is much more like some of the older series, more blocky and blob like and less detailed edges.

ok, watching RWBY again. Is anyone else really annoyed by the fact the history teacher has his shirt HALF tucked in? tand the fact he has a tiny cup? no rly he has a freaking SHOT GLASS.

The teachers are all interestingly stereotyped. They're very clearly characters that started from a single point without much actual character to them, but they seem to have managed to give them some decent person-hood in their out-of-class intereactions.

RWBY is ridiculously quotable. so many kind of funny things.

I liked the elephants. Super powerful Grim that are smart enough to know they'd still get royalty fraked up if they mess with any humans so just mind their own business.

Log Horizon season 2 episode 1 was good as expected. You can tell they changed animation studios, I do prefer the other studio... this studio supposedly has a reputation for not being the best. It's still fine though. Nice character interaction and politicking as usual, was good hearing database again and the new ED by the same artist as the previous ED is great.

Heads up, Season 4 episode 1 of Legend of Korra is out. It's as harsh as season 3 already.
