One week to the day until Log Horizon Season 2. The databasing will be intense. If anyone missed season 1, well worth catching up on if you like the idea of 30K people being stuck in a VR Fantasy MMO. It's more logical and consistent than SAO with a great cast of characters and good politicking.

I'm sure I'll like the show, undecided as to whether or not to finish psycho-pass first or to run them in tandem.
You will NOT speak bad of KLK's suits, either the star uniforms, the Kamuis or the fantastic NUUUUUUUUDISTOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIICHIIIII (lack of) uniforms.
And you WILL love Kamina. Kamina is one of those characters you should hate. You don't. He's just that awesome.
Not even the DTRs? Those did look pretty silly.
I said uniforms. Not those robot monstrosities, those you can flame away all you want.
To be fair, the DTRs were Supposed to be seen and silly and stupid and pretty much everyone hated them except for He Whose Nipples Glow.

It was..... different.
Yeah... I think the motorcycle is probably pretty close to the single most parodied/copied/references scenes ever though.

Really liked the set up.
Meh. It's starting pretty below the curve for me because I didn't like the OVA prequel thing whatever they put out a month or so ago. I still think the cockroaches look incredibly stupid in particular, but am not a fan of the art style in general anyways. We'll see if the new transformations are any better than the previous but I'm not holding much hope for this series.

"Fear is freedom! Subjugation is liberation! Contradiction is truth! These are the truths of this world! Surrender to these truths, you pigs in human clothing!" - Satsuki Kiryuin, Kill la Kill
So caught up with some Anime last few day and got introduced to a few new ones while in Tokyo.
So caught up with black bullet, Damn I hope this gets a second season, there is a few things still left open for it to continue!
Was introduced to Yowamushi Pedal while in Tokyo, it isnt anything special from what I can tell but should keep following it, only watched about 4 episodes.
Also watched Tokyo ghoul in Tokyo, one I was intending on watching, I have never been so hyped for a second season and glad its been confirmed. The final fight was awesome!
Also wanting to rewatch Kill La Kill, after finding it so amazing I got the following from Tokyo:
Spoiler:
EDIT: Has anybody watched Ghost in the Shell Arise? I loved the other two series but arise seems to go back to and older style, just wondering if it was any good?

Finished watching Psycho-Pass. Interesting. Pretty sweet knife fight. It didn't exactly leave me with happy feels, but then that may well have been the point, huh?
Spoiler:
Just had to throw in the female enforcer and tech lady scene at the end though didn't they? I mean they had already established the promiscuity of the tech chick, and maybe hinted at the orientation of Yayoi with the other band-lady, but seemed kind of random to toss in at the end...
Seemed to turn into the standard discussion of ethics/morals/outlooks punctuated by a couple of deaths and a few neat fight scenes.
The symmetry of the end of the last episode with the beginning of the first was nice, although a little heavy handed (basically the exact same scene with a character rotation).
I guess I'm looking forward to a second season. Kind of sucks they killed off Masaoka, but someone was likely to die dealing with Makishima...
Guess I'll dive further into Guren Lagaan for now and keep an eye out for something else too. GL is a nice crazy/energetic/only-semi-serious show, good to balance out something darker like Psycho-Pass.
Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios
Not sure its technically Anime, but I just watched War of the Worlds: Goliath.
Nice little beer and popcorn flick based on War of the Worlds.
Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
Databasing intensifies. Some info and pics from season 2, not spoilers really. And some changes to character design. Never liked Akatsukis pants so pretty happy. And the characters together.

I can't cope with that number of episodes - I did it with Bleach, 600 in about 6 months IIRC, but that was a while ago, now the thought of watching 100+ episodes just to catch up instantly flicks the "no sell" switch in my brain.
Although I could have done with some more Black Lagoon, finished it yesterday :/
I've found that those super-long Shonen animes are a lot easier to catch up on through the manga. So, unless I'm hard up for something to listen/watch in the background while doing other things, I'll generally just wait and binge-read dozens of chapters at once.

When I went all in on One Piece awhile back I only skipped one filler arc, the one involving the one guy who escaped from the inescapable prison, and only because it was so jarring to the story flow.
