I... actually don't know. Help?

You know the stuff between armour plates. I guess it depends on colour of the armour, but any good all round colours?

Well, basic black is always in style, but if you start with a charcoal grey and wash with black ink, you get the same look for less. Goes great with blues, greys, and bright orange/yellow.

Heavy browns work well for armours with lots of red in them.

I do it Leadbelcher with a wash on nuln oil. Then a cleanup with a dot of Leadbelcher to give it a shiny bit.

Ha!

On grey knights, death world then nuln oil.

On everything else, black highlighted with eshin then dawnstone.

This is how I tend to do it too

Like JamesY, sometimes, I do it with black/grey, depending on the scheme. It's easier with Leadbelcher/Nuhln, though.

Bright colors, like my Fists and Ultras I use Black with Grey highlights. For darker colors like my Blood Ravens, I use Leadbealcher with Nuln Oil.

I used leadbelcher on my lotd in fairness to break up and separate the black plates.
