Subject: Material to use for titan-sized flamer cowl?

Howdy Dakka, I'm making a knight-sized flamer similar to the Knight Acheron's so I'm looking for a material to use for the perforated cowl at the tip of almost every "modern" imperial flamer. See a wonderful pic I found of what I'm talking about, below. Ideally it would be a material that's moderately easy to bend but stiff enough to keep its shape. Any suggestions?

Plasticard?
Somewhere between 0.2-0.5mm in a couple of layers to help with keeping shape but also making it easy to cut/bend.

That would work for a lot of people I'm sure, but I'm familiar enough with plasticard and my own limitations to know that if I try to drill holes like that in it, they're going to be all over the place and look terrible.

You can get aluminium sheet in various thickness's in good model shops which is bendable by hand.
Drill the holes first & build a former to bend the sheet over. Automatically Appended Next Post: + the pic doesn't work for me :(

How big?

You could make one by heating an acrylic sheet in the thickness you want in an toaster oven, then forming it over a mold. (take like a peice of wood, round over two edges and drape it over.
Then drill holes into it.
