Howdy all,

Here's my next project, a centaur mounted Krieg assault force. The first phase of units will consist of Krieg grenadiers as well as engineers mounted in Centaurs supported with cyclops remote detonation vehicles. In the long run I intend to add a Cavalry section to the force and a heavy artillery battery. In all likelihood, this list will in no way prove to be competitive, but hopefully it will look pretty and work well with the fluff.

Any, to the models. I've just finished the first test model. With the grenadiers, I really wanted a sturmtruppen feel, so I used lozenge style camouflage similar to the germans in WW1.
Apologies that the images are a bit dark, its just turning dusk and I just couldn't get any good light.

Also, I practiced the camouflage on an old model I had lying around. I continued painting and finished the model. I think I may use it as an attached weapons servitor.

Thats all for now, depending or parts arrival, it should be the hellhound next

Guardsmen looks very nice, especially on that base, if they all turn out this good it will be a beautiful force to look at. Theme of the army sounds cool too, and that's what counts. anyone can build an army of the "best" units, but a force based around what you think is cool gives it a flavour of it's own and feels more personal as a whole. Keen to see how this turns out!

@Spetsnaz0129 Thank you!

Heres the next trooper, the base is just a placeholder while his proper base is being made. Again, sorry for the dark images, I really must invest in a lightbox.

I'm probably going to mount all of the infantry on 32mm bases as it allows me to add more detail.

Anyway, thats all for now folks

Allrighty then, next update. Things are going a bit slow right now as I'm in the run up to my exams (final year woo!).
I've done some work on making a few new bases for the troops which an be seen below;

They are all 32mm as it gives me a bit more space to work with.
I've mounted the meltagunner on a new base, this one is a section of destroyed trench. Really happy with this one.

So I had this great idea to get a 1:35 FT-17 and convert it into a hellhound (still waiting on parts for the turret). While the model is gorgeous and really captures the atheistic of the army, I would in no way make one of these again! I'm very much used to GW kits and resin type models, but this thing is a proper scale model, hyper detail job. The track units took me nearly 6 hours to assemble and I glued my fingers together more times than I care to admit. Some of the parts were tiny, about a millimeter across. A stressful experience to say the least haha. It will be mounted on a small scenic base which I am working on currently, pics to follow.

Thats all for now

Howdy all,

Quick update, just finally finished my degree (woo!) so I actually have time to play with toy soldiers again.
I've started off by restoring and fixing this vanquisher I got on ebay. I was so happy to find the old Stygies VIII turret, it was the one I used to drool over when I was a kid and reading imperial armour volume 1.

I've already started painting it, so I'll try and get some pics up later.

Peace out.

That hellhound looks brilliant and very unique. Nice job as well on the vanquisher, I like the bundle of wood on the back of it.

Quick update, sorry none of these images are edited, I just wanted to get them uploaded.

Started painting the Vanquisher. I'm using the same style of camouflage as the troops, but scaled up, what do you think?

Also the turret finally arrived for the FT-17 Hellhound. Well worth the wait though as it really looks good (at least I think so).

Thats all for now folks
