A luxurious deep green! I've got a real soft spot for the beaky helmeted models, they look great.
When I get a slow period like that, I often find it's reinvigorating to try something different - a touch of sculpting, a weird model you've been putting off for a while, or even building some terrain.
Also, psshhhh, complaining about the cold in sunny cornwall

Now scarper its a common popular misconception that cornwall is in any way sunny... but that may cut no ice with you up there in Edinburgh. I feel a little exposed up in my drafty unheated 4th floor flat overlooking the bay right now with the storm coming. But again it'll probably fall as snow where you are so I'll expect noe sympathy.
I shall take your advice and paint something odd today to mix things up.

Having lived in both, I can vouch for the fact that indeed Cornwall is sunny, for exactly 3 weeks a year, the rest of the time it rains, which is quite amusing, as when I moved to Scotland many years ago, they told me it rains all the time up here, and though not sunny, it does not rain half as much, but we do get snow, not had a good winter in a couple years now, but even this mornings inch of the white stuff, would be a show stopper in Cornwall. In many ways I envy your loft looking out over the bay.

Lovely work as always here, sorry did not comment sooner, been struggling, look forward to some weety goodness later.

Today I painted a dude I've done before - the original space marine scout. I seem to have a few of these kicking about. I've been playing a lot of borderlands so this is a vague homage to the vaulthunters and bandits of that game.

Love him. The blue on his chest is my favourite bit.

He looks great! Great homage - love the burns and the tattoos. Have you met Face McShooty ingame yet? Most bizarre quest in the game. Did it help with your painting funk at all? Certainly looks different to the DA

My Dad's actually from Polperro (near Looe on the south coast), so I'm certainly familiar with how drowned Cornwall gets for most of the year! Seafront flat does sound pretty jealousy inducing... And we've indeed had a wee dusting of snow here, really pretty.

A dexterous hand is an asset Shaz, and idle hands make light work or something. I would insure them but that would cost money.

Scarper don't be too jealous its more of a council tenement block on a hill, but absolutely stunning views! I don't believe I remember shooty mc face but I shoot a lot of people without checking the name - I'm halfway through number 2.

Well I have to go to wales tomorrow for some family gathering which I feel obliged to attend. But even so I can't believe I'm driving to wales in January during a cold snap it is so dumb.

Hello dakka and happy vernal equinox. Having emerged from the winter hibernation period I decided to clear the desk of half finished stuff;

These thieves had been sitting around gathering dust so I finished them off and tried my best to paint their eyeballs without making them crosseyed:



These chaos marines also just needed bases finishing and eyes painting.

Next I have to finish those dark angels.

Hopefully this will free up space for new things.
