I finally got to use my new Badger Krome airbrush on my Baneblade. I got the tracks and wheels started and continued some work on the hull and turret, weathering and what not. I'm still trying to get the Baneblade, Cygnar, and Battlefleet Gothic done but real life has been kicking my .

Getting a Necromunda list ready. I'm thinking of making it a gang that tries to get closer to the Emperor's grace by getting extremely drugged up. They carry out regular activities of drug smuggling for this very purpose.

Might also try being a bit more creative with the scenarios as well, since we usually go for, "gang skirmishes in random part of wasteland to earn territory." If I can play off the themes and fluff of our gangs, it might make for a more interesting campaign.

Got a bit sick of all the Kneadatite cutting and I decided to finish up the Imperial chapel and a ruined outpost tower thingie out of foamcore during the long weekend.

Now that the intermission is over, back to the cuttin'!

I forgot to mention it, but after playing a couple games of Frostgrave on Saturday, I stumbled onto a couple guys starting a new Kingdom Death game, and they were kind enough to let me play.

Holy crap, what a great time. I'm now considering saving up to get a copy of the game myself.

Painting a supply Humvee to go along with some IDF which I'm starting up (as objective for scenarios). Modern IDF are a force which I've been wanting for years, but haven't had the models for.

Hmn, I'll need to see how to involve them in scenarios with my Ukrainians/ Russians... :(

Finished basing my Circle Orboros wold-themed army.

On to finishing painting my Menoth.

Sculpting some second line IDF soldiers. Second line because I, uh, only have M16s and gave the guy so far some armour which is a bit dated accidently. Heh, Wikipedia may say a load of gear is no longer used, but I suppose I trust what I see guys wearing on the Tv more.

Hopefully I can manage to get the black armour done on my last Dark Angel squad I currently own for 30k, and get a start on basing the many Skaven I have.

Getting a batch of minis ready to be basecoated so I can get them on the painting table this weekend.

Might even try and get a game in if I can find any takers.

Going to paint some Ultramarines today. Get a few legionnaires out of the way.

Just finished up my 'nid models last week, going to tackle my Marine and IG army over the weekend. Some of the Marine models have been upainted/primed/half-done for over 20 years...

Put together a box of devastators for my IF army and primed them. Put legs together for centurion devs. Also had first go at adding decals to miniatures. Not without problems but the three I did look ok in the end. They really didn't seem to want to sit flat though.

Scrubbing some FW resin and having bad feelings about sweaty resin. Hope Cif abrasive helps :|

Cleaning up my workspace. It's like my workspace has been migrating.

Finishing the last 6 1st & 2nd generation hybrids for DWOK. They're the last models until the game is completely painted.

Next up are the contents of the Execution Force box. I've already got on assassin painted. 3 more assassins, 15 cultists, 3 marines and the sorcerer lord/his minion. Essentially like painting a unit of GSC

Played with eGaspy against Retribution, 42 pts, recon. Lost on 3rd tie breaker after three hours of play. Lots of fun.

Bought some tulle to use, perhaps, as fencing for my fledgling city board. A couple of tubes of paint too.

Touched up some of my Dark Angel tactical marines paint wise.

Now working on completing a 5 man plasma squad for them. Also looking to see if I've got the bits to put together a Vet squad.

Primed my Malcador and Dracosan, sadly out of black primer now for the Infernus and the assorted tank commanders. Bah!

Just played a 2000 point tournament. Because there were only five of us (terrible turnout), one of us had to sit out each round, and I got picked for the first round. The TO did count bye rounds as a win, so I ended up finishing second. My Tau destroyed one of my friends who was playing CSM, then got destroyed in turn by another Tau player (my Stormsurge alpha strike failed utterly, his Stormsurge was entirely successful). In total, there were four Tau and one CSM player. It was mostly Tau Civil War, or so the joking went. While I was there, since we were not at my usual FLGS but the other one in town, I picked up a box of Sniper Drones. Good times.

sounds like fun Zergsmasher! so tempted to get tau because that stormsurge is a sweeeet looking model. And my #2 son wants to play his necrons but we don't have another 40k player in the house argh the temptation lol

Anyway hobby wise, today, since I cancelled my trip (due to tornado weather!), I started priming a car model to use in my Portal terrain piece.

My Gates of Antares Boromites arrived today. I spent the day cleaning, assembling and basing them, tomorrow I'll spray them and start painting.

I was basecoating and washing my Avengers today. Ok, well, two of my Avengers. They're still at a very early stage at the moment.



Iron Man is proving to be a puzzle. As you can guess for all the things I need to clean up on those guys, I'm not the most talented painter so any "Non Metallic Metal" stuff just aint going to happen. However... Metallic red isn't exactly a thing. I'm wondering if I can get away with painting red normally, then just having metallic gold. - Or perhaps some hijinks with 'adcoat?


Once I've basecoated my Avengers, they'll join my basecoated X-Men.




The goal is to get both these groups in a good enough position before International Tabletop Day on the 30th of April as I'm hoping to run introduction games of Marvel Universe throughout the day.

I'm nowhere close to playing 40k for myriad reasons, but the Tau got to me too . Despite zergsmashers excellent paint job I'm still not feeling the stormsurge, something about walking tank vs alien mobile suit.. I think.

Finished my last DWOK models this evening.
Hoping to finish the last 3 games of the campaign tomorrow---this time with all the models painted, as it should be.

Got the second basecoat done on my Crisis Suit Commander, really love this model, I hope my painting does it justice, im trying out a new way of painting I think will really make it POP

@Compel: a good way to do metallic colours is to basecoat black, drybrush the areas in question silver (always brushing downwards), then apply a strong glaze/thin coat of the colour over the top, leaving the pre-highlighted metal showing through.

Looking good so far, though!

I had a go at that and wow, it's looking really good just with the red. - Reminds me of, I think it's the 'Silver Centurion' armour from a toy I had when I was young.
