This is the only copy of the rules I can find for it.

But they say not official yet, and it clearly says either marines or codex: chaos space marines. Can you still us it in say an alpha legion army? Interested to see if I wasted my money getting one I can't ever use.

I wanna think it's in one of the IA books, someone else might know which one? As to weather traitor legions can take it, fluff wise sure actual rule wise don't hold your breath

To many unpainted models to count.

The fire raptor rules for chaos are in Imperial Armour 13.

It can be used with the legions, but not in any of the formation detachments. So you would need a CAD.

I've heard(but not confirmed myself) that the death from the skies supplement let's you take a formation of two.

According to IA 2 it can be taken in a tyrants legion list only for chaos, IA 9 the badab war. That is just stupid as hell. They dont even have many options anymore. No upgrading to the autocannons, that the model COMES WITH. No option for ceramite plating. And only a specific warband can use it besides marines. I hope I can actually us it in tournaments with the linked pdf, because GW pulled a stupid.

Actually in OFFICIAL tournaments nobody can use it, since they have not updated the rules for the new flyer system everyone hates.

According IA2 V2 the fire raptor is a heavy support choice for C:SM, Space Wolves or Dark Angels. It can also be used in the FW Space Marine lists. Pg. 139

IA2 has the loyalist version, IA13 has the Chaos version. As with all FW vehicles they're totally compatible with the Angels of Death/Traitor Legions supplements, but you'll need to take a CAD to actually use them because they don't have formations that slot into any of the meta-detachments.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

IA 13, 100% Legal in ITC and most tournament rules. RaW is legal in any game of 40k. Of course someone can ask you not to use forgeworld, which is up to you. But by RaW you are legal to include in any CSM CAD. They also have access to ceramite plating and can upgrade its turrets to reaper auto cannons. It is a great looking model and you get alot of bang for the buck.

We've established that they are a go for CSM legions, but how about Demonkin? Can Demonkin bring them?
