These are the choices I've narrowed it down to - what would you pick?

I voted 'glaive' because although most people will say the typhon is fluffiest for DG, a flick through their section in book 1 seems to promote the idea that they wanted each marine to be a veritable swiss-army-knife with a weapon focus on bolter, melta and flamer and the expectation of prolonged engagement without resupply.

I think the notion of a prolonged engagement and no ammo resupply would make them favour the glaive due to its main reactor also being its ammo source.

Glaive, because as you said its freaking sweet, and well, I love Volkite a little too much.

I'm all about the Fellblade myself. But I can see the appeal of the Glaive as well.

It was hard for me to vote at first, you misspelled CHOOM! in the poll options.

Typhon. It's ridiculously powerful in a world of nothing but elite infantry.

The fellblade has the most versatility IMO.

Fellblade, for on table use, and overall sexiness.

I have a Typhon, love it. My next superheavy will be a Glaive.

You can miss with other tanks. You can't miss with a beam. Go the CHOOM CHOOM train.

Glaive because feth FLUFF IT HAS A HUEG VOLKITE GUN.

The glaive is a thing of beauty and my favorite of the marine SH tanks, therefore it has my vote simply for rule of cool.

Jk, I went with Glaive, why is that not fluffy for DG, they don't like CHOOM?

I know they favor chem weapons but I've never seen anything saying they dislike Volkite.

I think the Typhon is so effective for it's point cost. I would love to see any of these on the table, so good show with any of them!

To be honest, id forget both blades.
Compared to the other 2 on the list they don't compete.


The typhon is an absolute beast for a stupidly low price.
It will easily earn it's cost back and is great for deleting units.

The glaive is a bit more pricy, but damn it's worth it.
The sheer carnage it causes will bring a smile to your face every time you use it.
Fluff be damned.
