yeah,
I bought two sets, you get quite a lot of swappable parts that helps make the trees look different.
I also cut down two of the eldar icons to add variety.

I used spray paints to base coat the trees.
I undercoated the entire things white.
Then added colour spraying from top to bottom, changing colours as i moved down the trees.

Your work looks great, though I object to GW's attempt to do things with hard plastic that would be much better done much better with other materials. I like your use of bright colors!

For all the hate that this terrain set has gotten, I really like it. The rattlecan paint job ain't too bad either!

I don't know why the set got hate! it's cool, very different and adds that bit of variety to your tables, also it almost harks back to when they encouraged you to make and convert your own terrain in WD I have one that shows you how to do Catachan death world flora and these are obviously inspired by them and the artwork, I think they give you a great deal of scope to add and change them to be different imo, only part i'm not too keen on is the Eldar bits since they're quite large.

The reason it got so much hate is because it actually looks like something you could make at home with a handful of wire and paper mache. Coupled with higher end price tag, that you would've normally seen on things like Astromancer's Lair.

The acid brights look really good on this one, though

I like them! the eldar parts i could take or leave, but the rest is fine and they work well with those simple and vibrant colors.

realism is a lie

Yeah,
Weathering test time!?!

I painted on basic details; Fungus, eldar stuff, spikes and vines...

Then I sprayed with modelmates moss green.
And then wiped off loads of the pigment.

Done?
