Lol your "Mek it so" looks like he's sporting a Jeremy Beadle style hand in the first photo. The head and drill arm look great but are you going to try to do anything with the body/legs? I mean thats a whole 70% of the model unmodified, so unlike your crazy style.

Bangbangboom - Yeah, had another comment about that, photo-fu is weak in this one Any further body modification will probably depend on where I take the right arm, but at the moment it's unlikely. I'll probably get another for completely chopping up. I could swap out the right leg fairly easily, if I had a good replacement, anything else would start turning into a complete re-build, which I'd want to plan out first. I've already disappointed myself with the sides I put on my skorcha, as I could have pretty much replicated that without using the base model. Plus there's more to come on his mek-pak anyway

So a quick, crappy update. Tonight I only have 3 out of 4 lights working in my living room, so used a desk lamp, so horrible lighting, and these are looking horrible, but I uploaded them anyway, just to show I'm doing something
Just a selection of what's going on at the moment:


First, for Lord Kaesar, velociraptork is almost there




I was hoping these would show he's not a kross-dressa, but I was also hoping he'd look better than this




The fire-breather has a bit of colour to him now, still looks dodgy here though




And the Ork formerly known as Chorlton was to become Da Albino, think he's already gone too green though





Lot of bare metal in those pics, some of that will get painted, if I have no clear colour scheme in mind then I tend to paint all metal areas metallic to start with, then decide which bits will get the colouring-in pencils Poor lighting and macro photo's mean I'm not as happy with any of this progress as I was before sitting at the PC, oh well.

Me like so far. That last one with the tire for legs is my favorite I think out of those. Well him or the cybork. Ya made him look like he is blastin down a flyer. Love that pose.

crossdressers and albino orks... who thought there was no limit to were this army might meander is in for a surprise yet again^^ i think the lighting is pretty good from what i see, my followers have got used to lots of poorer sights^^

Big Mek Dattrukk - It's ok, the pwetty flying things are tiny, he's got a BS of 2, and he's wasted. They're safe enough, even before taking into account that they're a figment of the his clockwork noggin. And thank you!

neil - well, in that case maybe he'll paint it pnik with flowers on, will that get him back into the ladies? "...and the albino's skin is very realistic." This ladies and gentlemen is a fine reason to love Dakka. We're willing to talk about realism in relation to the look of albino orks (And I'm not sure you've been paying attention to old Gwynne have you )

shaso - I was pleased!

LK - Plastic is certainly more convenient, but old skool metal comes with character already attached (in most cases). There's a replacement arm for starters, feet are easily clipped, there's a nice flat attachment plate on his back, ears can be lopped to help with a metal face, then there's the major changes like removing the other arm, turning the fuel tank into part of the right arm with the pipe going to something interesting... I'll try and keep velociraptork on the colouring front-line for you

neil - Yes he is, and no I haven't Classic metal/plastic arm hybrid. (Missing an 'it' from the second sentence? Upper case H & I in the third? )
