I've posted up some new pics of the orc giant I'm working on. The greenstuff work on him is finished, and I think I'm ready to move on to priming. I'd appreciate feedback before I apply paint, though! As usual for me, I'll throw up a couple of pictures, then link you to my site where you can see more of him if you are curious. Frontal, eye-level view Above, from the left side Model's eye view, looking up Click here for more.

yeah, I'd be tempted to add some leg armour to bulk up those legs a little - and it makes sense battlewise too, because most enemies can't reach higher than his legs! Mmm, and maybe some big spiked kicky boots?

WOW, really nicely done, I especially like the veins in the muscles sticking up, that giant knows how to do proper work-out . And Symbio Joe is right, bulk up those legs of his. I wonder how much green-stuff you put on this guy? It was a good thing by covering up the beer-gut, it makes no sense if he have like no fat on the arms but a large beer-gut. (and it looks good on him too When he is painted and all he will look amazing. MY FIRST POST!!! YEEHAAW

I wanted you to be wrong, Symbio Joe. I wanted the legs to be perfect and right, and not have to do anything to them! But you were right. And once it was pointed out to me, I was shocked I'd never noticed before. As a result, I have a couple of new pictures to share! The newer, leg-bulked giant! The thighs have been widened by about a quarter inch, and suneate and alligator-snapping-turtle kneepads have been added to the lower legs. The thighs, kneepads, and suneate. More links at the usual place: The question for you now, users of dakka, is this: Do I sculpt boots, or is the barefoot look sufficient for a massive, well-scuplted, Japanese-styled orc giant? Opinions welcome - painting won't begin until Saturday at the earliest.

Nice job. I think it looks better barefoot, but if you give him boots, make sure there are seams running all over it, as it would probobly be made of several pieces of leather...

Dunno if he needs boots. Sorry that I was right, I'm usually all wrong. But now he looks super cool. I love the tortoise shells !

It looks much better with the thicker legs as they now look inline with the size of the upper body.

Fantastic Sculpting. Brilliant. But, for an Ork ( a large one!) the shoulders arent BROARD enough and the legs are too LONG . It looks trick as though

Yeah the legs look a little too long. He would look kind of weird painted like an orc in comparison to the body shape of the non-giant orcs.

Well, I've painted the giant up, and thought I'd post some pictures of him before I move on to finishing his base. Model's eye view of the giant Frontal view of the big brute A rear view, showing off a bit of the back and waist collection Click here for more!
Comments are welcome, before I move on to the base - there's still time to repaint parts of him!

Another green tone for the turtle shells or a brown tone. Too much green although it is a orc giant.
