Hey everyone!

I've found myself in a bit of a bind. I'm working on my own Deamon Prince for my Heretic Astartes and I have decided that even he has to obey the rules of my army: No bare faces. Now I've seen quite a few great conversions, with headswaps from a Defiler or using the deamon prince kit's legguards as a facemask. But that got me thinking (and as those that know me can attest, woe betide anyone around when these cogs start turning): Most of my marines are clad in Mark IV Maximus armour. So too should the Prince (since he's an ascended Lord).

So I'm looking for a Mark 4 (or similar) helmet that is about twice the size of a normal Space Marine helmet (since a normal marine's helmet looks hilariously small on the Prince's frame). I've looked into most helmets I could find (even had my local GW manager peek into a few Primaris boxes to measure), but all heads were too small. The only ones I could not get a bead on were the aggressors, but they seem to have the same size helmets as other primaris (which are too small). Also a Deredeo Dread's head is too small as well.

Has anyone an idea, or a close enough alternative?

You will probably need to resculpt one off a base helm

you can use primarches helm off bits store
certain contemptor dread heads might work too. like the new tsons one.

Yeah, my first thought was dreadnought heads - there are several and quite large. Not MkIV...but you can't really be too choosy at that scale.

Contemptor heads are about 10-20% bigger than normal marine helmets and most are only the top half . Could you not use a large skull and convert it ? Get a 1:35 scale one ?

it might be possible to find a cheap girlyman helmet plastic bit if some one for some reason wanted to use the swollen head.

you can green stuff the mk4 beak style onto it and call it a day.

Venerable dread heads are the same as normal space marine heads.

Well, Desubot was (of course) right. The local GeeDubs manager helped me out and set me up with a SM player that had a head to spare. He gave it to me and the head was far too small.
Having arrived home, I started looking through my bits to bulk up the helmet and found the perfect combination. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
