So another bit of themed scatter terrain for my Necromunda board. Now that the Ladies have an HGV and a wacky lab of fun, they need something to move "stuff" from one to the other.

Enter the Jekub Class power forklift based in the venerable Sentinel chassis. Counterweighted to permit heavier frontloading and fitted with auxiliary hydraulic tanks for some reason I haven't quite figured out. Definately not there just to hide the Sentinel weapon mount. Definitely...

Anyway. C&C welcome.

Not auxiliary, they're additional fluid to run the lift system.

Nice! Shame the cool old FW one is gone forever.

Do you have a spare Searchlight? A utility mech should definitely have one!

Thanks Sauragnmon. I'll note that one in the users manual

I have various sizes of searchlight it the problem is finding somewhere to put it. The sentinel light is designed to go on the hard top variant and the other lights I've got are a bit big to go anywhere. Also the lifter arms are a bit in the way for anything mounted on the sides.

I'll have another look tonight to see if i can fit one in. It does have the headlight from the metal front plate so it's it totally lightless

Yay, power lifter! Looking good so far. The lab stuff is cool, too. Hadn't seen that before.

This sentinel in not exactly built with the Omnissiah's blessing, is it? You could then just weld the searchlight to the (top) side of the cage and run a wire down to the battery pack, maybe connecting to the cage and hull in a place or two to secure it.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

As requested, an extra light. It fits reasonably well just on the battery pack and is more secure there than on the overhead rail.

It kinda makes sense, with those tanks forming the reservoir for the hydraulics of the lifter system - the powerpack is there to run the additional motors and pumps, which really just run off an extension of the weapons controls, so they'd likely also have their own fluid reservoir to avoid too much modification to the existing design.

You smell correctly sir, good spot it will probably need to be painted yellow.

Love it. Mind if I ask what bits are used to make the 2 large vertical hydraulics at the front, and the mount that connects the lifter to the sentinel cab?

Thanks

The hydraulics are from killa Kan ccws and the mount is a suitably butchered sentinel.missile.launcher. the horizontal bar thing is made from a couple of old HK missile.mounts bodged together.

If I can get in before the necro lock, here are some of the thing finished

Nice to see there is a way to convert this now the official model is gone.

Lovely.

But why no hazard stripes? These kinds of machines are completely nonfunctional without hazard stripes! How is the pilot ever going to get any work done?

Well then you need a second spotlight sentinel, which seems an appropriate amount of redundancy and pointlessness for the Imperium.

Thanks Fajita.

I like the idea of a companion lighting rig.

I have a stationary one, and after we finally finish the horrendous work of moving house and I can reasonably start making a mess I may do one... or print one on my new 3d printer (when I get it set up). Either way I 2ont be able to.satisfy the urge any time soon...
