It looks really great! And i feel for you.. red and white is a real pain in the a** to paint 
you're doing a great job with the valks! i just got a shadowsword home and god damn! trust me, The guy who put that one together must have got really really high! wth, he must have been high before he even started! There's like 4 bottles of superglue on it and the parts are all put on backwards and upside down and gak.. i can say that it's almost beyond salvageable.

Getting a solid foundation down of White, Red, or Yellow, on large flat surfaces, is a paint in the .
The red you're seeing took two layers of "Red Gore" followed by four to six layers of "Blood Red". Very, very time consuming.

I was considering it. However, it brings up YET ANOTHER THING I hate about Valks.
One side of the valk is perfect for nose art. Flat, open panelling.
The other side is ruined by the stupid moulded-on 'steps'.
Oh well.

I removed the "stepes" on my valk and pinted a dragonhead on each side. worked really well 
Also, That rescue valk looks so awesome! great job there!
And for the last valk, Why don't you paint wings on the wings?
and then paint a head or something on the nose? like an eagle or dragon or something else that flies.. Maybe a butterfly?
HELL YEAH!! Paint a butterfly on it! just for the giggles?
