I have run into a minor snag....

Having a shortage of a certain size of LED I attempted to substitute.....




I have to go back to Radio shack tomorrow.....

I am so very upset about it.....

But the engines are almost done and the Tailfin and engines and Maybe the Main gun will be done tomorrow......


I also have to get a good deck together for FNM....

AND the first session of the mass build will occur either Thursday or Saturday......

I would definitely get the larger LED as the other 2 substitutes don't really give it the same effect

now i get it... the substitutes are smaller in size? i thought it was a trick due to photography...well then yes get the real thing...

could you point out what is it that bothers you so much about the current build? i can´t see the massive errors and such things... for me...it is so cool looking...really, maybe it is because you look to often and too much on the thing?

You guys are, of course correct. I am just being picky and perfectionist about it. I do like it it's just when you have expectations and the end product doesnt quite live up to them or it turns out more frustrating then I think it should have been it starts to get me down. That is another reason I like to do my projects faster than this has gone, there is no tike to second guess myself.....

Well, from what I hear, the FW THawk is also a pain in the ass to build, so it stands to reason that your plasticard construct still gives you much more control over those issues.

Thanks guys, I was just having a moment of idiocy...

The lights are all white behind red platic lenses that I allowed super glue to frost over. The one I removed, in order to replace it was a cluster of three 5mm LEDs and the other two are single 10mm LEDs. I think I prefer the cluster for its luminosity but already know that Radio shack has no more of them.....

Which do you guys think looks better? the Cluster or the single one?

I am apparently the only person in this area of Missourri that requires their usage and as such have purchased their entire stock which they have not replaced over the last couple of months. Checking this morning if I can get them from Radio shack online....

Have you ever tried the Testor's cement for clear parts? It works without frosting/crazing. Of course PVA does too, but it takes an annoying long time to dry.

I actually wanted it to frost a little....

But yes, testors would have held it in place just fine...

Yeah, i'd put the cluster in the middle, and the singles on the outsides, especially if it's a PITA to get more.

I understood mate but just disagreed totally I like the cluster look and think it would be best if they all were clusters ……. However I know nothing as my boss informed me today ….. However I did reply I know you are a t-wat so thats something …….

What it boils down to is that people know when their opinions, orders instructions, mannerisms, demeanor or procedures are inapropriate and thats when you can get away with verbally murdering someone with absolute control over your livliehood.

I am a huge fan of absolute truth when lives are on the line and believe that even in the civilian world lives are on the line when discussing employment, especially in todays economy.


All that said, it will be single, cluster, single....

For lack of proper supply lines into this godforsaken area of the world it must be this way.

I would have preferred all clusters too as I liked the look......

i know my fair share of complete incompetent d...kheads... and the thing with these is ...even when neck deep in gak...they wouldn´t be so honorable to accept a true word spoken against them...because...this is the very thing of believe and deed structure that brought them to be such d..kheads in the first place...

Yes, still have my job, even though I cant fething stand it, mind you they are laying of some of middle management, which I can understand but the senior ones are worst and don't do anything there wages are through the roof


I find it a shame you are going to use single clusters only I feel this will come back to haunt you at a later date, I only say this as if it hand been a preference choice fair enough but because of impatience
