I don't think there's anything wrong with doing that, as long as it's not taken to an extreme. Lots of times it just makes more sense, depending on what someone wants, to do 2x the middle level instead of the highest level, etc.
It's pretty common "Kickstarter practice" now, but usually projects clarify (in the FAQ or the like) that that is allowed or not so that people know for sure.

Two pledges seems to have been possible using two KS accounts. At one point I had EB Wicked and EB Fiendish, one on each KS account. Was thinking about getting two Wicked because of the $40 Rotten rebate x 2.

So now that the Kickstarter is over, what happened to all the new people that made Dakka accounts just to advertise for this game? Have they lost their enthusiasm or did they have no intention of joining the community after all?
I notice there has been a 100% drop in WWE-advertisement over on the two Infinity forums as well.

As I understand that was just a smug rhetorical comment, I'll still answer:
The Wild West Exodus KS was just the thing that pushed me to sign up. I'd been surfin the sight for a while, and have been posting several other places.
No one has gotten their survey's yet, so nothing to report yet other then a "you'll get it soon" annoucement. Which if you backed you wouldn't need to come here to get that info. You'd already have it. If they have a late to the party option to pledge, I'll post the link
As for the reason I came here:
http://wild-west-exodus.mybigcommerce.com/season-1-subscription/
Here is a link to get just the comic book. That will be shipped right away. Just a marginal investment if you are interested in the game and want to see what some of the hub bub is all about
And my apologies to you Absolutionis if you are not of the same ilk as the folks who blindsided me after me first post. This was the rudest community I had ever joined, and I don't like the fact I've had to play hardball just to talk about and support a game I thought was neat.

This is not to discredit the fact that you like the game, it's more of the fact that no one likes when a company has plants to try and make it seem like the game is extremely awesome, or it's such a good buy, etc... Most people (especially here on Dakka) would rather that companies be upfront when they're trying to sell us on stuff. So if there is a sudden surge of people coming into 1 specific thread, or making a thread about a specific game and then never being heard from again, it quickly becomes apparent that this was just a publicity stunt to try and sell! sell! sell! With that in mind, while you have posted elsewhere on Dakka, some of the other people that have joined Dakka around the same time as you and only posted in this thread, which gives the company some bad rep as it shows slightly shady dealings. Which is why Absolutionis posted what he did, the way he did.
While you might think Dakka is one of the rudest communities you've ever experienced, we're a massive site with a huge following of people that are defensive about people coming in and lying to our faces. Hope this clears some things up.
As to the comic subscription, I still think they should give a way a sample couple of pages to help lure people in... But that's just me I know they've got 2 pages up, but they just didn't pull me in, and in fact I felt like the comic was simply made as a way to advertise the game, and not a standalone product that could thrive on it's own.

Is 2.99 no longer the status quo? I seem to recall DC running a campaign called "draw the line at 2.99".

Just looking at the stack of comics I have close to me, they're all 3.99.
The list:
Automatically Appended Next Post: When DC revealed their new 52, I believe 2.99 was still the regular as Detective Comics #1 was 2.99, but the smattering of DC and Marvel comics I have all say 3.99.
Note: The Marvel comics come with a "free" digital copy that has an expiration date (like 3 days after release). But that specific topic belongs in the OT comic thread.

I have no idea why you insist on publicy calling me a liar. You really need to knock it off. You are the guy I'm talking about. And now I feel bad I made it seemed like it went any further then you and apologize to the rest of Dakkadakka. That is outlandish and ridiculous to say I've lied about anything, as I am just a fan and have nothing to gain financially from Outlaw.
Get rid of your twisted assumptions and why don't you send me some PMs if you got a personal beef with stuff I post

Dude I didn't call you a liar, you're the exception of the posters that Absolutionis and I are talking about. You're actively trying to particpate in Dakka besides that thread, the posters that I'm referring to are the ones that have come in, said how great the game is, and disappeared. Or they came in and made a thread in Misc Miniatures forum about the game, and that was it. Those are the people that Dakka doesn't like.
In fact this is what I said:

Whilst I can understand some frustration, I wonder how many got driven off simply because of the opposition and might have stayed around otherwise. I doubt any of them were plants and were just fans looking to spread the word about a new game.
I'm a fighter and not scared of the Internet, so of course I wasn't going any where.

No worries then!
If you've filled it out, you'll next receive the following:
Project Update #93: The Survey Has Just Been Sent Out
Posted by Outlaw Miniatures, LLC Like
Hello Outlaw Backers,
Today on March 25th we sent everyone that is a backer our survey form via Kickstarter. In that survey you will find very basic information.
This information will included your name, address, phone numbers, and email addresses. This information is extremely important since it will be the only way for us to communicate with you directly.
Please fill out every line of information and send it back asap. Once we have the survey back we will send out our Wild West Exodus Spread Sheet.
This Spread Sheet will be when you get the chance to select and trade out items. The survey is only designed to get your contact information so please do not email asking why the add-on items are not listed. That is what the WWX Spread Sheet is for.
On Tuesday March 26th the WWX Spread Sheet will be sent out to everyone that is a backer. At that time you can swap items and also add additional minis to your order. Remember that April 1st is the last day that we will except add-ons at the discounted Kickstarter prices of 60% and 70% off.
Once April 1st arrives all models will go to 30% off msrp for the next 60 days. After that models will only be available at normal MSRP.
If you have any questions please email them to info@outlawminiatures.com
Please do not use the comments section or the messaging system on kickstarter as we do not check that daily any longer. You can also ask general questions on our official forum www.wildwestexodusforum.com.
Remember that you can also call us direct with general questions at 480-389-4857
We look forward to getting everyone's information and delivering a great product.

Hi guys, /wave
I R back from my long weekend away at the coast (Sandsea near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England)
And I have to say it was really relaxing after not having a holiday in over 12 years!!
It allowed me time to think about what I want to get and maybe a few design ideas for a board.
As most people I have seen are going for a very traditional wild west theme with a slight Sci-Fi appearance.
I was thinking of going more Sci-Fi with a slight Wild West twist. Building That I was thinking of would include:
1, Drive in cinema,
2, Multi-storey car park above shopping area in order to create a bit of hight,
3, Motor Vehicle showroom, so to make use of the spare LSV's I will be getting,
4, Various shops,
5, Block of flats + houses,
6, Some sort of market square,
7, Fort,
8, Refuelling station,
9, Park,
10, Various street furniture, i.e. street lights, benches, railings...
11, Police station / Jail,
12, Train station (thinking of an elevated train system that runs above the city)
The Wild West twist would include making these items as if they only had the materials of that time.
so a block of flats would be a few storeys high and made from wooden slats and maybe an external lift system.
My board will be a 6x4 and I have 16x 2ft x 2ft gaming tiles made from MDF.
I shall be making them look sandy in appearance so that the terrain will be placed on top.
Not sure if I will be making a road system build into the sand yet, we will see.
My forces will consist of Outlaws, Warrior Nation and The Union (1x Repulsive level on each, so all units would be sourced for each faction).
So I expect to have to create a slightly different theme for the Warriors so some sort of semi-permanent structured teepees / shacks with perhaps some sort of warrior testing ground like a gladiatorial arena.
So what do you guys think, I would be very happy to hear your opinions about how mentally derailed I am for thinking
of going down this route. I just want to produce something a little different from the norm.
Mick Automatically Appended Next Post: Hi guys,
Just a quick update that the WWX Spreadsheet will be going out within the next couple of hours.
This will be used to list all items that you require from the Kick Starter. The KS price will remain until 1st April 2013
and then go to 30% off for a 2 month period instead of a 30% discount voucher that could only be utilised once!
Cheers all
Mick

A lot of the high level spreadsheets are a little jacked. I'm not hearing as many issues from the low level guys. Some of it is misunderstandings of how trades work (Like a ladies of the west set is a set, not mix and match four ladies) but other stuff is just a bit screwy and not in line with FAQ. Hopefully it will get fixed before the weekend. Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay....yeah. They are sending out a better spreadsheet tomorrow/later today (still the 26th where I'm at)

Hi guys,
Sorry been away for a bit. Been spending a bit of time with the girlfriend, I have my priorities sorted now though and been doing a spot of building for my WWX table.
I thought I would try and lean more towards Sci-Fi more than Wild West, but I still want that Wild West look so will be making my terrain appear to be made from materials
sourced in the Wild West era (except the computer consoles etc, which will be used in the lift operation panels instead of stairs).
I am just building my first piece and have got a little further than the picture indicates.
I am just building the framework to the lift, but have to wait for glue to dry to get all the layers of the stage correct.
Anyway, How are you guys getting on? Are you doing anything for your boards? or are you busy doing something else atm?
Mick
EDIT: rather than spam this thread with my photos, you can view them here instead.

Hello WWX Fans.
Today is April first and as promised we have the BETA rules for Wild West Exodus ready for download.
Everyone that backed our project can now play test these awesome rules.
A few extra notes to point out.
1. These are not the final rules. These are about 95% done and will still see some revisions.
2. Some models are not yet present on the PDF. This does not mean that they will not be part of the main rule book. It just means that they are still being play tested and will be ready in a few weeks with stats and profiles.
3. The 10 missions in the back of the book are also being play test and could see some revisions and additions. These are going to be added to any of the missions from the comic series.
4. Mercs and their profiles will be added later this month and sent out as a second email with the other profile cards.
If you have any questions or suggestions please post them on the official WWX Forum under the Beta Rules section.
You can also email us at rules@outlawminiatures.com to send the info direct. If you have other questions please send them to info@outlawminiatures.com
We are available chat via phone at 480-389-4857 M-F from 8am to 5pm Pacific time.
