Yeah, it's a little disheartening from the Dreamforge side of the fence to see this get turned around so quickly, if it is indeed about to ship from China. But I'm happy for you lot...!

Did the ellipses give him away?
It's just nice to know that it is possible for WGF to pull out all the stops and make it happen. Although if I understand correctly, only the henchman and (maybe) underbosses are in plastic, so it was a relatively limited involvement on their part.

I thought it was only the 'hired hands' that were getting the plastic treatment?
So yes, even less of a commitment, which is probably why they were able to get them through WGF so quickly?

No worries, for all I know, they ARE the same thing?
As for the game itself, well, I haven't really had a chance to go over the rules but...
...I haven't picked up any vehicles. I didn't really like the look of most of them though some are growing on me.
I wonder if I'll be at a distinct disadvantage in a game because of that?

Here are some 3D renders of my designs. there are more on my blog.

Nice terrain! I have no intention of playing in the wild west setting (not my thing), so will be using my large quantity of deadzone terrain for most games soon I believe.

I hope WWX gains traction in my local group. If not I guess I can always use my terrain for Malifaux or start a Deadlands campaign.

While Overboss Sheriff Alpharius is busy posting the latest update... I have a question that does not seem to have an answer, neither here nor on the KS comments:
What about the poor shmucks who, like me, only pledged for resin pieces? Weren't those 99% done?

Here's the latest kickstarter update.
Project Update #139: The Boat Is Leaving China!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone.
If this weekend could not get any better we have official news that the boat is leaving China.
Here is the boat name Hatsu Courage 0795-058E
Go to this website - http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
From there enter the boat name in the top left hand side. (Hatsu Courage)
We also have the container number for you to track if you need it. FSCU4632150
Here is how you can track this beast full of WWX goodness all the way to the USofA.
http://www.shippingline.org/track/?container=FSCU4632150
http://www.searates.com/container/tracking/
You will get an exact live location of what the boat is doing and when it will reach US Customs.
Keep in mind that once the boat reaches the US it still needs to clear customs and get put on a truck to reach our warehouse.
From there we take the container, unpack it and begin the process of shipping orders. This should be a very exciting month. As always please email us if you have any questions.
Thanks guys and as always, In Jesse We Trust

What are you asking? If your asking about when everyone is getting their stuff I understand it to be that all the kickstarter rewards are shipping out together once the plastics arrive (in the AZ location) and are packed.
Hopefully that helps.

From a purely logistical point of view, I fail to understand why the resin-only pledges have to wait for the slow boat from China full of plastics I'm not getting anyway.
You done goofed. Overboss Sherrif Alpharius is gonna be mad you took his job.

I see what you were asking. I can understand that frustration as well, I had similar questions on other kickstarters I have been involved in. It seems to always come back to overall shipping costs and/or making sure everyone gets their stuff at the same time.
As for Alpharius, I'm sure he's a big boy and can handle another update. worst case scenario he will post the same update himself!

I wouldn't go so far as calling it frustration. Mild disappointment, at best. Due to the nature of international shipping, it is guaranteed that not everyone will get their stuff at the same time. I can however understand the shipping cost issue if it's simpler to have the USPS truck come by only once.

Overboss Sheriff Alpha is still upset that all the people who were so active in here during the Kickstarer have disappeared.

It would be interesting to see how many moved over to the WWX forums and are active there vs how many have just become less active overall. I know Mick has settle in on the WWX forums and is very active.....

As much as I like this game and want it to succeed, "active" and "Official WWX Forums" aren't words to be used together at this point!

Well, I think they had a competition for the most posts on various forums about WWX at the time of the kickstarter, so once that was over people lost incentive to post as much.

I know, so was I but again! less rivets, more western-y!
also bbb, if that's truly the case then that saddens me. If you're going to hype something on other sites/forums, at least be conscienious enough to help develop the community there instead of leaving the one or two threads on the forum to dry out. Overboss Sheriff Alpha doesn't have much of a town to Sheriff over if there's nothing but us tumbleweeds.

To be honest, I was a bit wary when I learned who was behind the project, that's why I only went in for the mercs. If they're not too huge, I can use them for Blackwater Gulch.

I think they're going to be a bit too large to mix in with the BWG stuff...
And honestly, Romeo's involvement doesn't bother me at all.

Outlaw Miniatures wrote:Just to clear a few things up. The main reason we have not been posting on here is because updating and posting on Kickstarter is a full time job with a limited staff at this point.
I think we are better served as a company to post on our kickstarter instead of on forums all around the internet.
We also have a very nice fan following already and Mike is one of them. To bash him for supporting the kickstarter is why we have limited the posts ourselves. It seems that no matter what you post on Dakka Dakka someone like yourself will bash or take the whole tread off track just to create drama.
No drama needed here. As for bringing up Battle Foam in every comment you make, have at it. I'm sure they appreciate the free advertising.
I guess people know the right way to read a company name that is clearly visible on the website of said company makes them an employee now.
What would we know, our company name is Outlaw Miniatures but you can call us whatever you like.
I would also like to point out that we are holding a contest for the backer that posts the most news and spreads the word about our ks the most. That may be a reason why Mike here is so excited. Maybe that or maybe the fact that its a good game with good people creating it.
To Mike, thanks and keep up the good work. I'll make sure the guys send you out a check. How many hours have you put in this week? Just need to know for accounting reasons.
I knew I wasn't crazy. I've bolded the part that pertains to my previous comment. Automatically Appended Next Post: That's from 2013/03/06 22:15:33 and on page 7 of 30 in this thread.

*sigh* that doesn't surprise me at all :-\ and would really put me off of backing this game if I saw that before knowing any information. It's fine that you want a "street team" to promote your stuff, but to disappear as quickly as you appear just sucks. Especially when they could have done so much more.
