I think that online, there isn't enough recognition for speedpainted armies.

Painting a display quality miniature takes skill and effort, but painting 2000 points or so in short time is a skill on its own. And when I look at my own miniatures, the ones I painted in an hour or so as a distraction, while rough on the edges, often look cooler than the ones that took meticulous effort.

So if you have a speedpainted army and want to show off, feel free to drop a photo or a link! The only rule is, on average, it should take less than 2 hours for a rank-and-file infantry model.

Bonus points when there's no airbrush involved - because airbrush is a time-saver, this would make your achievement even more impressive.

On that basis all of my armies are speed painted - I generally paint a squad of infantry or a vehicle in an evening.

And no airbrush.

These are my current armies.

I do (did ?) this on two armies.
My orks, first, were painted with the "wood stain dip" method :

Moar here : https://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-50760-22434_Orks.html

Except for the vehicles, of course.

And my Dark Eldars use classical technics but with a well thought scheme that pops on the table while the time spend on infantry models doesn't exceed an hour :

In this case, even the vehicles are painted pretty fast, it's the monsters that take most of the time (but still not so much) :

It took more time to convert and build the last batch than it did to paint them.
