Rad new game from ThunderChild Miniatures! Jason is an artist I've certainly found worth supporting over the years, and always comes through for his backers/customers/supporters.

I don't think those are necessarily bad things. Art can revel in those kind of tropes and succeed on the entertainment it provides.
ThunderChild Miniatures' entire premise has always been based on the grunge/punk rock/hot rod/post-apocalyptic style of art. Things like Rat Fink, Tank Girl, Garbage Pail Kids, etc., etc., are all obvious influences. Not liking the name "Goregasm" is one thing (and I can even relate to it; I'm reticent to overshare it on Facebook for example, because relatives or people I know outside the culture don't understand it) but dismissing the entire game and line of miniatures because of it is disingenuous. The miniatures and artwork are really well crafted and unique in their stylings and interpretations of their own influences.
A lot of personal attention and work gets put into each miniature, paint job, stat card, and even just advertisement image:
I know I for one love the hell out of it. It's got heart.

I don't believe there's anything false about porku's disinterest based on a name. Personally, I was put off because of it, too: The punk thing is pretty nicely done, but the name was enough to make something that looked okay into something that needed to look like a real winner for me to keep it with my other games, and it just wasn't epic enough. I don't want to need to defend or explain a ridiculous title every time a guest looks on my gaming shelf.

That's disappointing, I would have loved to see your skills put to work on some of these minis!
Check out these rad, rough, silly concepts for some stretch goal figures! I'm particularly fond of Bork Bork the Sumo myself.

Conjures up GORECHOSEN! references (it has to be yelled) which already has me bellowing in impotent rage enough as it is for me to want another arena type game.
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Yeah I wasn't making a personal judgment, just asking genuine questions to Porkuslime.

My reaction is the "pun" if you will.. even for a game I play that celebrates "blood and skulls" .. this seems too "over the top" in a celebration of gore
I am also approaching this from a "would my family play this game" which would be a hard pass on it from the name alone

I see. It's weird though because the game doesn't seem to focus on gore at all, if the visuals in the thread are to be trusted. There is a little blood but it's cartoony.

I take a weekend away from the ole PC and we get all kinds of rad updates!
First, for those concerned about the evil and vile nature of this disgusting game... know you're not alone!
Next, there are a couple of stretch goals that have been hit and we're starting to see some new sculpts!
The Sacred Slammer:
And also Manuel Manymits, though we haven't seen a sculpt yet:
And finally a couple of teases to some new surprises! The first is some sort of giant, three-headed fellow in the rough first stages of sculpting, and the second is a rough concept for a ringside announcer!

Whelp that’s my new favorite mini of the campaign so far!
Pretty funny indeed I like it.
