Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Time to pick the first subject of 2019! As usual, 2 days to vote and the runner up will get another chance the following month:

The Flesh Is Weak: Whether through heavy armour, cybernetic enhancements or arcane constructs, fantasy and sci-fi are littered with individuals seeking to counteract the fragility of the forms. Your entry should feature such a character, one who has gone to great lengths to overcome the mortal weakness of their body.

Bonds of Fellowship: Rare is the warrior that is not stronger with firm allies at their side. Your entry should consist of two or more models who share some close bond, from a hero and their faithful sidekick to a squad of footsoldiers sent out to face the world's horrors together.

New Frontiers: Beyond the edges of the map, there are those whose paths take them far beyond the civilised and explored parts of the world. From pathfinders ahead of an invasion to explorers pushing the bounds of knowledge, to travellers on an epic quest into the unknown, your entry should reflect themes of exploration or discovery.

Strength In Arms: Among warriors, there are those whose pursuit of martial skill is matched only by their sheer strength and physical prowess. Your entry should reflect the peak of fighting strength, be that in the form of a savage barbarian, an expert duellist or a hard-bitten brawler, or any other suitable archetype.

I voted for strength in arms because I don't think I have anything in the pile of shame suitable for the others!

Voted New Frontiers because I want to get started on the Blackstone Fortress explorers, but honestly I could do something for any of the choices.

Think I’ve got something for all of those; in fact I think I could use the same models for 2 or 3 of those categories!

I've got a Fulgrim, Horus, Angron, and Lorgar just sitting around itching to be painted. EVENTUALLY. Eventually I will have all 18 bought and painted.

I've done konrad and angron so far, aswell as abaddon, kharn and sevatar. Got morty and a second Angron for Xmas so I'll either do him an alternative scheme or sell him on. I got daemon magnus and kor phaeron to do too. I'm not interested in the loyalist primarchs, although I may be swayed by sangy this year

Yea, for me it would be more of a collector's thing. I'd love to one day (and intend to) have all the Primarchs painted up and on my display cabinet just because I can. I just need Forgeworld to release them much faster than this!

Yeah it does seem to be slowing up! I'm excited for sanguinius and amit (I assume) and I'll see how the lion looks, but if they make him look like the art on lexicanum I can see myself passing. To be fair I do like russ but not enough to buy.

Wow, vote is really leveling out. It was a runaway lead for strength in arms when I voted.

I should be able to muster something for all of these. Some a little more tounge-in-cheek than others.

It's level now, few more hours to tip the balance. If both are equal at the end, that'll just be the themes for Jan and Feb sorted.

I'm surprised, I thought strength was going to be a dominant winner! Might still be able to dig something out for the other subjects.

I have nothing relevant for that I don't think, Angron and kharn are already done! Maybe I'll pass on it.
