Yeah, those look great. That two handed axe power pose is very impressive in plastic at this scale.

Are they in scale with GW plastics? I know they are historical so the proportions will be off, but I'm talking about size.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

It's refreshing to see realist weapon sizes from time to time.

Need to know how big these are. If they're tiny historical dudes, hopefully they're at least Frostgrave compatible.

Guys, we all know that once you join the vaunted company of those who produce miniatures, you have to swear an oath in front of masked lawyers to never post scale shots of your product lest you inadvertently summon IP-LAWYER the dreadful from Nottingham.

On a serious note, they are probably made to scale with Vikings Grenadier or Mirliton produced in the mid 80s because otherwise the historical crowd won't buy them (all the while asking if Victrix plans to release them in 6mm).

I don't know about that. I picked up some of the Victrix Early Imperial Romans, and the tower over my Warlord Romans (who are arguably small to begin with). Victrix figures tend to be larger than the usual historical miniatures.

That being said, they are probably also more anatomically realistic, and so will look thinner next to the largish (chunky) arms and legs and heads of Frostgrave or other fantasy models.

I'll be getting them for some skirmish gaming, as 60 to a box will give me two forces.

Could you take a scale shot of your Victrix Romans with some common fantasy minis?

That's a weapon? I thought the close-up Viking was having a bad day at the mini golf course.

I like them. Might pick them up. The chainmail does look a bit off though.

Eh, I think it's classic "stage" chainmail...i.e. modeled to take paint and show off well at tabletop height vs. accuracy (never seen anyone really model perfect chainmail).

Website says 37.95 GBP. Still a bargain for 60 minis!

Here are some comparison photos, I'll apologize for the pose of the Victrix Roman, I just slapped him together. As you can see, he is taller than the Warlord Roman, and the Perry plastic, but about the same height as the Corsair, Skeleton, and Mordheim champion. His arms are noticeably smaller and thinner though. Hope this helps.

They could work as Fantasy stand-ins, but they probably would look really weird with fantasy scaled weapons. The weapons on the roman sprues (and as you can see, their hands) are fairly thin and more "proportional". It would look weird with a GW tree trunk of a weapon haft.

The Roman is also on a slight raised sprue base, making him appear a couple mm taller as well. The Auxilia and the Warlord roman are similarly mounted. The GW models are all "foot on base" as it were. But they are still larger than the common historical model.

The Vitrix guys are nice, but I find the weapons too thin and close to true scale.

I got some naked Celts and the War Elephant and they are a bit taller than Gripping Beasts historical but they head swap well.
