In a couple of weeks I'll be taking my Death Riders to a tourney for the first time. Didn't do so before since I wasn't able to field both a DKOK and regular Guard detachment in the same list. Ah well. This prompted me to draw these guys into the rest of my winter-themed army by adding some snow to their bases. A full army shot will follow later, but here are is my Death rider platoon.

As you might notice the stance of half of the models is changed from passive (original models) to active movement. This took a lot of bending, cutting up horse-legs and greenstuff. Still happy with the result and I'm curious what you guys think.

That is a nice charge, well executed.

EDIT - Bucking is trying to eject your rider, IIRC. They're 'rearing'.

Thanks a lot for the comments chaps!

The rider in front is jumping a fence which is a bit hard to see from this angle. The one to the back is prancing/rearing (didn't know that word). There are also some with artificial limbs since these steeds are 'auhmented' in the fluff. Other conversions are a officer with pistol and sword, a radio operato, sarge with a chains word and a tattered banner. The guy with the banner has a tiny Greenstuff medal he earned when he,as the last remaining rider of his unit managed to finish off a hive tyrant with a charge.

I will make some more detailed shots when I get my proper camera out.

Very cool, never seen so many nor any so dynamic.

One thing, the golden yellow on their cuffs is incongruously vibrant given the rest of the scheme. Have you thought about using a more ochre-ish colour of de-saturating it a bit?

That is glorious indeed, the change from standing to dynamic in the column looks very pleasing. Have to agree with sockwithaticket about the yellow, as the rest of the coats look like they've seen quite some use over time. Perhaps they were as bright blue originally as the yellows are now, but it does stick out a bit now.

Thanks for the comments. The brightness of the yellow might have something to do with the lighting when I took the pictures. In real life the contrast is not this big. I am fielding them at a tourney next weekend and will try to make some more pictures then.
