Title says it all here's the one stop thread for all your news and hints from the day - if you find info on a blog, photos or you're there yourself (have fun!) then throw it in here.

One thing not yet mentioned but which I've seen on Firestorm Games webstore is that GW is opening up more models to be ordered by 3rd party stores. Mostly a big chunk of 40K stuff but a couple of kits for AoS as well. It includes things like upgrade kits and metal models, even some sisters like the Penitent Engine

Box art (showing contents) for the next terrain expansion for Warcry is on show, looks like the full shattered realms mega kit in the box along with likely a base to play on.
Spoiler:

Orruks - a combined Tome that features 3 sets of alliance abilities; one for Ironjawz, one for Bonesplittesr and one for a combined WAAARGH of the two forces.

Cities of Sigmar meanwhile is a massive mish mash of humans, dwarves and elves -a Last Alliance ready to stand against the dark lor...no wait that's not AoS. Anyway a big mish mash and also options to take several other separate armies as part of the core force not just as allies (no allies limit). It's a massive soup Battletome so will be interesting to see how it handles internal balance and balance with the rest of the game.

What are the tomes in need of an update?

And, not to state the obvious, but when you say "all game not just AoS", we're still taking AoS-related games (Warcry, Underworlds, etc.). In other words, we shouldn't expect the next great shocking revelations for 40K in a new campaign book announcement or anything like that?

I assume Seraphon are in need of an update, especially in terms of models. But I expect these two tomes to be basically endless spells, dice and the book, maybe one hq model. Seraphon really need a plastic slann, razordon/salamander dual kit, but honestly even their basic infantry kits are showing their age, in terms of detail and stuff they only barely hold up.

Well its more thrown in there because GW could reveal anything - heck already there's a load of 40K stuff going on 3rd party pre-order this weekend (as noted in the first post). I just figured if there was any non AoS news that came out it was easier to throw up a title like that and avoid confusion

That thread notes the current state of Battletome support for AoS.

@EnTyme- though to be fair, when Americans talk about a 15 pound burger, that isn't what they mean.

More likely they are cutting down the Elf line as they probably want to take a turn with them more similar too the Idoneth or the Daughters of Khaine. So I'll end up grabbing what Freeguild/Empire units I never ended up getting during 8th.

Where is that from, is it a conversion?

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

There's not much more they can "cut down" from the Elf line.

If I had to guess?
-White Lions
-High Elf Chariot
-Dark Elf Chariot
-Swordmasters, unless they have a plastic kit ready for them because they really need one if they're sticking around.

Dispossessed will likely lose:
-Unforged
-Warriors(this lets them 'refocus' the generic Duardin into heavily armored barring their support units of Quarrelers/Thunderers)

Freeguild currently have a lot of extraneous hero sculpts that I could see being ditched, especially since several are in resin.

Is that it then? They’ve literally shown us one new model. I know there’s been a couple of teasers, but they’ve actually only shown us one new model.

And a whole new season of Underworlds.
And they have WarCry for people to go hands on with.
And they teased a new campaign event.

Yes, they’ve potentially teased a lot but actually shown very little...

This Tithe of Bones thing, do we think we might be getting a new Mortarch? Or perhaps a redesigned/ reimagined old Mortarch, the “Mortarch of Bones” perhaps?

It's probably a Deathrattle book or some new faction that's mostly skeletal Warriors or Skeletal Constructs.

What a lame set of previews. They could have teased one of the remaining Warcry warbands, a model or two from WH:Underworlds season 3 or Endless Spells that will accompany the new armybooks. Instead we were shown one unrelated Ogre model and zero information teaser for something that sounds even more boring than Forbidden Power. Breaking news indeed.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

Well, some neat stuff.

I’m hoping most of my dwarfs make it into the free guild book.

Glad to see they’re combining the orks back together again. I hope this includes some of the ‘normal’ orks, like boar chariots & such. Is there still a faction just called ‘Greenskins’?

I like the new tyrant model, and I hope this heralds a combined ogre faction as well.

New underworlds sounds cool, anxious to see more.

Would love to see them add more monsters for warcry. I want to have big beasties to battle. So many nice models they could make available as threats.

Chaos dwarfs now pwease!

From what the Warhammer Community article says I feel you'll be disappointed.

So at the end of the day it was a powerful slew of releases! The new Orruk Battletome is sounding great, we got a good tease of Ogors getting a new model and likely a new duel kit which with the launch of the new teaser video could even come hot on the heels of a new Death Faction.

In addition there's a lot of complexity with the new Free Cities battletome and whilst I was hoping Destruction would get lots of attention, I'm kind of more interested to see how GW balances and makes the Free Cities tome work - its certainly a very big "soup" based tome but then again it could be very unique compared to many others.

About the only thing I felt a little disappointed with was that we only got a teaser for the new Underworlds releases. Mostly because we already knew it was coming so having a teaser for something we know is coming is sort of a bit of a waste. The new silhouettes are interesting and the setting moving to the land of beasts makes many think we'll see some more orruks and ogors appearing. But in the end we really don't know anything more than what we knew yesterday.

Then again there's apparently another big event in 10 days or so so this could just be teasing out the data. Also its important to remember that there's still 2 dry weeks for AoS whilst Warcry is on its big pre-order run.
