Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Time to pick the theme for August's round: This time, the options are:

I Can Do This All Day: For many fighters, battle is a contest of endurance, with those who can withstand an onslaught longest emerging triumphant. Whether through sheer physicality, hgh-tech armour or magical fortitude, your entry should feature models who can take all the enemy can throw at them and remain standing.

The Dark Arts: From necromancy to outlawed technology, from ancient curses to eldritch power drawn from the most horrifying beings, there are many who bend the dark, forbidden and deadly forces of the world to their will. Your entry should feature such individuals.

Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself: Blades and bullets may tear the flesh, but the morale of the enemy is best broken by fear. Your entry should feature models who employ fear or terror as weapons, from grotesque abominations to shadowy assassins sowing panic behind enemy lines.

Metal and Wheels: In contrast to last month's theme, your entry should include those who favour industry and technology over the natural forces of the world, whether that manifests itself as clanking war machines, armoured vehicles or advanced weaponry ect.

Metal and wheels, AKA MORE TANKS.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Voted for metal and wheels. I hate painting tanks, need a push.

Although I’m good for any of these.

I went for metal. Got some more aviation themed pieces to do. I could do magnus for dark arts or sangy for all day though.

I voted for Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself...but it looks like the Metal and Wheels is going to take it.

Cheers,

We’ve had some pretty impressive come from behind wins before. It’s still early in the voting. And if your choice comes in second, it will get another shot next month.

Voted Metal and Wheels, because if it wins I'm really going to challenge myself and paint something that should be hard to do in just a month: an Imperial Knight. I could paint something for any of the categories easily though. And if it turns out that the weather doesn't cooperate for priming my Knight, I've got plenty of other vehicles to paint too!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Voted for the Dark Arts, but that's a landslide for metal and wheels!
