A little while back I posted a thread and someone mentioned the Erlking, who supposedly is a Fenrisian warp deity who puts Leman Russ through a series of tests so that Russ could learn how to wound Horus. That being said, can there be other warp entities out there that could be "peaceful" towards the Imperium? I am thinking of doing a Vodou/Loa based Space Marine Chapter and wanted them to be intermediaries between themselves and the Emperor of Mankind, guiding them and making pacts to help ensure their victories. Thoughts?
The only sort-of hubaloo would be breaking the grimdark. Part of the setting, for some, is the *everybody is screwed* element. If there are cosmic horrors out to eat our very souls, even if we die noble deaths for righteous causes, then we are all really screwed.
But if there are Daemons of Order, and cosmic entities that represent the positive emotions of existence, then we have a chance for eternal sunshine in the worship of the god of Hugs and Friendship. I think that God’s name is Celestia, or something like that. 1 key apostle with about 5-ish close followers.
So while I feel that in-universe “logically” there should be Gods of Order that oppose the Gods of Chaos... it veers away from the GrimDark.

Well, I mean they not always be friendly, some having alterior motives, but these SM would strike a bargain with them. Not with the Chaos Gods themselves, but minor warp deities.
Something similar to this interaction:

A rebellious Lord of Change might fill this role well. Tzeentch deliberately had two Blue Horrors (the Blue Scribes) be the ones to collect all of his lost knowledge instead of a Lord of Change for fear of what a powerful daemon like that might do with such knowledge. Or there could be 'in-between' deities that represent incomplete aspects of the different Chaos Gods, and have varying agendas.

doesn't even have to be rebellious. remember the chaos gods are NOT best buds. they're rivals. Tzeetch would HAPPILY pose a s a friendly warp spirit and hand out information to a marine if it would mean spoiling a plot of Nurgle. and as a plus Tzeetch has laid the seeds of a marines corruption to his service. Win Win!
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
The closest we have to benevolent warp entities in the current fluff are things like Living Saints who seem to be imbued with a fraction of the Emperor's power.
Long ago there was the fluff of the Starchild which was the positive psychic energy that the Emperor purged from his system in order to kill Horus. I suspect this is not canon anymore. In 3rd edition, GW published some fluff which suggested that the cult of the Starchild was just a Tzeentchian plot that was destroyed by the Inquisition. However just to confuse things further, it was later hinted that the Starchild was in fact real and that the destruction of the cult was Tzeentch tricking the Inquisition into destroying their own best source of hope.
I stand between the darkness and the light. Between the candle and the star.
I could see them making an Order Daemon army if it ever gets to the point they have Emps become a full on God after Cypher/Abbadon remove him.

Either warp or xenos, no-one's entirely sure.

Would a warp entity ever feel benevolent towards mankind? No - aside from maybe some small subfaction they've convinced to worship them.
Would they 'do a deal' with something like a radical inquisitor or librarian to screw over one or more of the gods of chaos to advance their own agendas? In an immortal heartbeat!
A good example is Cherubael, a daemon whose on again/off again/bound again relationship with Inquisitor Eisenhorn has been going so long that in the writer's eyes they're now (sort of) friends.
Would they stick to the deal.....maybe....as long as it remains in their best interests...
