The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I’m thinking a bigger batsymbol will lock in place on that thing and keep the two halves together. Maybe?

It's supposedly a nod to Kevin Smith's "Manufacture for Use" in Detective Comics #1000.
Spoiler alert! Spoiler alert! Spoiler alert! Don't click if you want to read the story for yourself!
Spoiler:
Bruce, as Matches Malone, goes to "The Gotham Gift Shop", a spot ran by a guy specializing in 'what the bad guys leave behind when the Bat busts them'. He's after one thing: the gun that Joe Chill used to kill his parents. He melts it down into a strike plate for the Batsuit.
If that's the case? I'm glad they went this route instead of mimicry of the story itself.

That's a great story, but what makes it great doesn't seem like it would translate to a movie at all. We'll see.

Apparently it's not a trailer - it's an "Official Camera Test Teaser"
This would be correct. Matt Reeves posted it yesterday as "Camera Test"...the "trailer" bit started getting added by other sites, claiming this was more than it was.

If you haven't read it, I highly highly highly highly suggest it. There's a lot more than what I put in my little cliffnotes version, but it really adds an interesting bit.

Oh, yeah, I've read it; just realized what I posted appears to refer to your summary, but I was talking about the short in DC1000. That and the family photo are just great stories all around.
