I have these images in my head of some movie monsters, but can’t remember the movies or enough to find them via google.

The first movie is a low budget horror film that I think was on MST3000 once. It took place in the woods, and the monsters were aliens. I think one was a child and one was a parent who killed everyone while looking for the child. They had flesh-colored, Greedo-like snouts and fur all over their bodies. They might have had suckers on their fingers.

The second movie (possibly a Tv show) had a bipedal werewolf with a wolf-like snout, but long elfin-looking wars that swept back, along with a swept-back Blanca-like shock of hair. I believe the eyes were glassy and the hair was fairly light brown. The werewolf might not have been a werewolf exactly, but some other kind of wolf-like creature, and maybe feminine. I think I saw a clear photo in Fangoria, so it might be from the 80’s or 90’s.

Thanks for any help.

Yes, I believe that’s it! I saw that movie when I was very young and in the hospital alone overnight. Those things terrified me so much that I wasn’t able to watch theMST 3k when it came out.

Pod People.... thanks!

I don’t think it was dog soldiers. I think it was older. I tried to draw what I remember it looking like, but this isn’t exact.

Could it be "The Company of Wolves?"

Looks like it could be from one of the Howling movies - obviously not the first, and I don't think its from Howling 6: The Freaks.

Ah, maybe Howling 5?

Looks like it was Howling 5. Thanks! I’m fairly sure that’s the design I was thinking of, especially the glassy eyes.

Did two werewolves fight in that movie? Or was the costume reused in another film? I seem to remember them fighting something.

If you’re sure it was Howling 5, that’s cool but your drawing made me think of Bad Moon. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0115610/

If it was a TV show could it have been the old Werewolf tv show?

I’ve recently watched the end fight scene from Bad Moon a few times, and I still enjoy it. Funnily enough, I watched Werewolf: The Series during the same hospital visit as I saw the Pod People. Instead of nightmares, it fostered in me a lifelong love of werewolves. Sadly, I don’t believe it was ever released on DVD.

What made me sure it was Howling 5, though, was this image:

I loved the show as a kid as well. It actually seems it was released on DVD, but doesn't seem to be currently available. OOP I guess. Bummer.

I’ve seen some of the episodes on YouTube. I’m not sure if they’re still there—I’d better go check. (Not that I have time to watch much right now. Shelter in Place has made me much busier thanI was before the quarantimes.)

Awesome!

Howling 5 is a bit of an odd film in the series because its strictly a "who dunnit" in a european castle and the Werewolf is hardly seen. Its a very low budget affair but with a decent core concept.

Oh man, I never heard of the show, but I like that second pic. It has a bit of a look of Rick Baker about it but with it's own thing going on.

Sounds like when I saw Aliens in hospital. It gave me nightmares and fostered a lifelong love of gribbly creatures.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

The werewolves in that series were really well done, better than in a lot of movies.

Also worth a check-out is She Wolf of London, a show that aired back to back with that Dean Cameron series about teenagers from outer space...yet it was well written for at least a few episodes, and the werewolf had a distinctive look.

Nice drawing...... I had a feeling it was the Howling series as that was a UHF TV favorite.

Werewolf (TV series) had pretty good FX for its time (which were pretty leading-edge both for tv and for late 80s).

Chuck Connors, Lance LeGault, Brian Thompson stick out in my memory as being in it.

I stopped watching the Howling films after "the marsupials" ... That was just too silly for words.
