Hello everyone.

About a month ago, I asked what y'all would've loved to see for GW to release as one-off miniatures. Miniatures that wouldn't necessarily be units for armies or stuff that would've been cool in something like Kill Team. I got some lovely suggestions out of this thread and reading all of them was very fun. (I've also started to make a list about these suggestions, since I love making lists.)

Some of the best things you've suggested were non-combatant miniatures; governors, crewman of imperial vessels, diplomats, prisoners, etc. Stuff that could work as objective markers or narrative objectives for the game itself. Of course, if GW ever got around to releasing something like this.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now, I want to put our wishlisting focus upon a different game; Adeptus Titanicus. While a lot of us were expecting the return of EPIC 40k, that seems to be a long way from becoming a reality. But we can still dream.

So this time, I want to know what miniatures you would love to see announced for Adeptus Titanicus or a potential EPIC scale game. Are there any upgrades for existing titans, titan classes from the lore, titanic units from other races, or units from EPIC you would like to see return and redone?

I know people like to have Titanicus scale rhinos and 8mm space marines, but this time, I'm asking for the big stuff. I want to keep things a little focused upon titan/knight scale units, so please avoid any vehicle or creature that is smaller than a Baneblade.

Once again, I'm going to give an example:

The Gorkanaut/Morkanaut. I want Orks to return in a Titanicus scale game, Zoggit!
Spoiler:

What about you? Go wild and be creative.

Thread prolly belongs in the specialist games section...

But as you have allready pointed out, Xenos is the only thing that is missing from AT to give it some proper flavor. Moust likely limited choises, but orks and eldar should deffo be in.
Maybe Nids and Necrons allso? idk if they was around when HH was ongoing as i dont know 30k lore. I suspect that the lack of Xenos is why some 40k players do not want to take the step into AT.

Dark Mechanicum could easily be represented with upgrade blisters for the existing titans and knights with bits and bobs suitable for their chaos looks.

However a more realistic wish for the current existing lineup would be something like the Punisher class titan with its 3 legs.

Some Tyranid biotitans wouldn't go amiss. Though that would mean having to change the setting to 40K instead of 30K.

I do hope that one day Epic 40K makes a big comeback. I think if it does though this will be as part of a new release, as opposed to a bolt on to Adeptus TItanicus. As long as we can still use the current AT and AI models I'm OK with that.

Think it would be too big for the table, warlords are allready pushing it.

You do realise this is for Adeptus Titanicus? So 8mm scale not 28mm scale. In 40k scale it might be a tad big.

Moving to Specialist Games as someone suggested.

(To say nothing of 3d printing)

As for what is achievable, I think various ginormous tanks like the Leviathan and Collossus would be totally fitting. It might even make for a cool WD article, scratch build some with the existing plastic terrain and titan weapons and have them count as warhounds or reavers.

6 mm scale, but anyway. Imperators are pushing it not because of the models but their rules, as it would often be one versus the whole other army and not many rule sets do that concept justice.

i'd like to see special curved bases of skittarii infantry so you can layer them around a titans feet to keep knights away with enough numbers or clever placement.

Also, i want to see those upgrade sprues for knight Magaera, Styrix and Atrapos knights - we know Magaera and Styrix are on the way eventually but the Atrapos is the last needed variant to fill out the range imo

i'd like to see some of the more 'situational' titan weapons:
centrally mounted macro-cannon and raised head conversion
fire control tower shoulder upgrade
land speeder forward observer landing pad shoulder upgrade
breaching ram arm upgrade (for troops boarding things to take them intact)

I for one would enjoy seeing various large scale fortifications for siege missions, esoteric titan weapons like city breaking wrecking balls, supermassive vehicles like Leviathans, Warlord variants in the vein of old Nightgaunts and what nots.

After they get a few new titan chassii like Rapiers and Warriors out, I'd love them to get some xenos on the field eventually. The game is eminently lively enough that they could launch Orks and Eldar without too much of a worry, the demand is clearly there for this type of game.

I do hope they'll keep Epic units such as infantry and tanks out of Adeptus Titanicus, so stick with Titans...different types, maybe even Xenos. Or what about truly Chaotic Titans?

Maybe civilian knights/titans ala the construction mechs in Battle Tech. Jerry-rigged for combat, not that good but cheap and possibly effective.

Eldar titans and eldar knights.

Back in the good old days eldar knights and imperial knights used to joust a lot.

Plus the bright stallion is best knight

One of the things that I started headcanoning is that the Colossus (one of the old Squat Titan scale Super-heavies), is still an actual vehicle used by mining guilds of the Imperium, and that particularly successful Genestealer Cults use them in combat during their uprisings. It could allow Genestealer cults to have a presence inside of an EPIC-scale game if GW finally decided to bring in non-Imperium armies into the fold.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

I would love to see some Adeptus Titanicus-scale new alien war machines. Orc Gargants*, Eldar Titans, Tyranid bio-titans etc. The new scale of AT (the Titans are sooo much bigger than the old Epic ones) means that the older GW sculpts of alien war machines no longer fit well with the new AT sculpts, at least when they are fighting against each other on the tabletop.

If GW are not going to do this (and I fear it is unlikely), and any of the talented guys sculpting for Vanguard, Onslaught and numerous other smaller companies read this - please try - you will have at least one customer right here!

* The exception to this is the Nuclear Shrimp Games Gargant (this is about 11cm tall, so a bit closer in scale)

Z-scale is about 6.5mm, but I'm not enough of an electrician to tell you how easy it'd be to rig up some kind of a timer to make your sci-fi Z-scale monorail move a precise distance with the push of one button.

As for a general Titanicus wishlist, well, I mean the obvious answer is any Xenos at all so it isn't just the same symemtrical matchups between armies of lumbering square hulks chest-bumping. I'd give Titanicus another go if there were Eldar.

Not quite Sir.
I am actually just now reading the 'Titanicus' novel which obviously takes place in the Horus Heresy timeline and there is a mention of the Titans fighting both Eldar and 'Xenos Gargants'.

Yes, but the point was about Tyranids. Or Necrons, or Tau. None of these major xenos civilizations are a thing in the canon until long after the Heresy.

Not that it matters much on the tabletop, so more power to the fluff writers and we might see AT xenos by 2025

For Titanicus, Orks and Eldar are definitely welcome. Bit cautious of infantry and vehicles but I'd open my wallet for Shadowswords and Armigers. Of immediate concern is to have the auxilary banner rule scrapped for the Acastus and if not then to introduce Dominus Knights pretty sharpish. A new mode of play where a Titan or Knight-scion leads a group of individual Knights would add flavour to Titanicus.

A Titanicus-scale edition of Imperial Knights: Renegade would be a lot of fun. Six questoris, a sprue of scenery, and away we go.

Eldar in Aeronautica is a big yes! Not bought into the game itself but I'd be up for the models.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Yes I don't think it's likely at all.

Think there is hopefully a small possibility of someone like Nuclear Shrimp Games, maybe Onslaught, doing something if they think there is a demand for it.

Perhaps a little bit more likely that someone will make something on Shapeways for 3D printing (which could be any varying degree of quality).

Although I am being selfish here as I just would like the minis for Epic so wouldn't need the AT rules for that game!

Definitely do it!

GW had a one-click bundle at one point which was three copies of IK: Renegade, which I suppose was a big hint to players the game is best experienced with multiple knights. Bit of reworking and its perfect for Titanicus-scale.

I've got a damage grid system roughly based on how Warmachine works (but you count damage inwards from whichever facing you got hit on instead of just down from the top) sitting in my idea file, but I've yet to find a game I want to actually try sticking it into. Until now...

Might have to 3d print things in 15mm, my 8mm experiments for Knights tend to break when I try and get them off the raft (too skinny).
Primary design space for small-scale Knight-battles experiment: Imperial Knights (Questoris, Cerastus, Dominus), Chaos Knights (same plus Kytan), Eldar (Wraithknight/Skathach), Orks (Gorkanaut/Morkanaut), Tau (Riptide/variants, Stormsurge), Tyranids (Dimachaeron, Hierodule). Am I missing anything incredibly obvious?

Stuck in the snow.

I thought someone had asked about Xenos Titans at an event late last year and GW said they'll definitely happen eventually but not until all of the Imperial/Chaos units and options are released.

Which does seem to make a lot of sense since you can follow the narrative of 40k with the mirror match Heresy era then growing the range as you reach the dawn of the 41st millennium.

  • Early Heresy - most Imperial Titans and Knights (we are here)

  • Late Heresy - add any remaining Imperial units, add Chaos specific units/options, and Chaos upgrade kits for existing Imperial kits.

  • Post Heresy - Xenos

  • As for what I'd like to see?
  • All currently unavailable Knight weapons (las-impulsor, hull multilaser, Icarus autocannon) and variants.

  • A Questoris upgrade pack with 2 of each primary weapon so you could actually make a full squad without buying 3 boxes (or 3D printing)

  • A chaos Questoris kit with a mix of both the FW upgrade kit and Knight Rampager styles

  • A small selection of new in-scale Space Marines, Imperial Infantry, or tanks to decorate bases with

  • Chaos specific Titan variants and other appropriate super heavies (Kytan, Lord of Skulls, old Slaanesh Knights). Both existing concepts as well as new ones (especially for Nurgle and Tzeench who have nothing).

GW does not really give definite answers, though the devs of AT have consistently said they are not opposed to the idea of Xenos expansions later on. Time will tell when that happens.

That's effectively never then, because they seem to invent yet more new Imperial/Chaos units or weapons while kicking the xenos can further down the road.
