The Zoat is interesting, since one of my FLGS got on in their GW delivery last week...

Yup, all of June to work through the fracking 40k backlog before we get any fantasy stuff.

Should put to bed the issue about GW not advancing their timeline. PA books were x1 a month, but it seems they are eager to get the last 3 out so they can hit 9th edition as soon as possible.

Good to see GW getting the ball rolling again.

Was half-wishing the AT Cerastus variants would drop next week, but wallet-wise I'm glad as I got other stuff to order. And these items were definitely long over due for many.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Ah good. The Zoat. Just need that and the giant spindle drone thingies one.

Fabius is a nifty model. Would've preferred it if he came with his other buddy as well, the one carrying the big tank of... stuff.

Interested to see what this "new way" of playing CSMs is, and how Sisters of Silence will be integrated with the Custodes.

Excellent, Manflayer is finally out next week too. At least their ebooks haven't gone up in price so I think I can stretch for that.

Sorry Zoaty boi and Bile, as much as I want both of you it ain't happening...

I'm not sure what model you are referring to, please can you share a link?

I'm assuming that Fabius comes with the gimp guy kneeling over the downed Marine, is there another gimpy guy?

Spoiler:

I too would have liked to see all three. Might try converting one from a cultist/Flagellant and some old terrain bits.

I'm only surprised that there's no news of Forgeworld reopening or of reasons for its delay compared to the rest of the GW service and system. Granted Black Library seems to be lagging in new publications (its volume of new and upcoming releases seems very short and missing things like Old World books and the like). But Forgeworld is still fully shutdown even though they've had a few mysterious "maintenance" sessions last week.

With new sculpts going out the GW factory must be running. That said Resin is more hands-on casting wise so it might be harder to run at a viable scale to meet order demands whilst maintaining social distancing.

Another aspect might be supply of raw material. I know that Hydracast in Russia had to stop casting because he couldn't get hold of any more resin; FW might be having the same issue in that it can run, but there's no supply for them to cast with. And again whlist Gw might have stocks they likely want it online and running not suddenly having to stop.

Finally it might be that key staff are still in isolation - the might live with or be vulnerable and thus be unsafe to return to work at this time.

WE also can't ignore that GW might just have forgotten about FW Heck a few days ago they did a big "Exalted Demons" article and didn't link once in it to the official exalted demons on the FW website - not even in passing to suggest people could buy them once the store was online.

So does this mean we'll get rules previews for War of the Spider next week?

Yeah I don't understand the holdup. Even if they can't sell the models Road to Thramas should already be printed and ready to go. I wonder if they're waiting for the new 40k books to be released? Don't want to sell models without rules in their biggest game?

Well they won't release book without models.

And yes rule previews this week as usual once preorders announced. They even flat out mentioned they are doing those

There's been a couple of mentions from smaller companies of their resin suppliers being tapped out from stuff relating to Covid19 manufacturing...wouldn't be shocked if the same was happening with FW.

Hopefully something on the new morale mechanics as well. They said it would help Night Lords. I remain to be convinced.

I've a restrained excitement for this War of the Spider considering Covid-19 is sort of preventing matches (unless you have a fortunate set of circumstances, are some sort of immortal supernatural entity, destroy all viral matter on contact through extreme hate or just don't care ofc) so by the time Covid is settling down 9th should be well in place so War of the Spider's impact may well be somewhat moot. Yes, yes; I know these rules won't be invalidated going into 9th but until 9th is out and settled, I also have no reliable bearing on how meaningful they will actually be for the factions present. Similar with Engine.

Not a complaint, btw, just an observation.

I definitely understand that. Luckily I had no interest in Engine War or Spider, and only Pariah for the storyline/end of PA rather than rules. I will pick up pariah, but will be my last PA book. That means I did not pick up Baal, Greater Good, Saga of Beast, Engine War, and Spider.

Unlikely stratagems etc becomes junk in 9th. Seeing it's free bonuses with no Downside something is useful.
