Companion poll to the other one, out of curiousity.

Lets assume Space Marines are loyalist chapters, including Grey Knights, and Deathwatch.
I'd be interested to know about Chaos Space Marines too, but let's just try loyalists for now.

Edit: I don't think we need too much precision, but for extra credit, find number-of-models percentage and points-value/power-level percentage and combine the two. A rough aggregation of models and table top value.

About 5 years before I actually started 40K a friend gifted me an assault Marine with jump pack. Unlike all other Marines I didn't convert him to Nurgle, but he's painted in the colors of my Raptors (maybe he's an Alpha Legion Agent). He's the only loyalist Marine I have and doesn't qualify for 1%, so I voted 0

Yeah I went 51-75, I keep saying I don't have 50%, but I just have so many ultramarines as I've collected them for 20+ years and replaced some squads while keeping the old one as backups that I also can't believe that's not 50% of my collection even with having so many smaller armies

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

17.78% to be exact if all your counting is "Armies".
My loyalist forces are: SW, DA, UM 9th Co., Mentor Legion, Doom Eagles, 1st Co., Dreadnaughts, and now, thanks to Indomitus, Primaris.

Loyalists Pts wise? Total is somewhere between 24k - 30k pts - depending upon edition. So at a minimum at least 17.77777%

No idea what the percent is if you wanted to know based upon individual models.

Currently i have exactly 1 space marine in my collection, but i used to have a few more, maybe no more than a dozen total. I think i got them in a starter set. Never properly collected them

So 1-10%. Main army was eldar, now admech, and dabbled in tau. Looking forward, most likely Custodes.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

Ultramarine army
Deathwatch army
Custom Chapter Primaris army (Iron Paladins)
Pre-Heresy World Eaters (technically loyalist?)

But combined I have more of everything else, even if some forces (Custodes, Harlis, Tau) are quite small.

So 25%-33%? Maybe?

Over the last 30 years, I've built up apparently 12 GW 40K armies. For marines, I've got 3 - almost 4 - whole companies of infantry alone - which exceeds even the number of IG models I have (a mere 90). My next largest army is Tau, and I only have about 50 infantry for it.

So at least 50%, if not more.

It never ends well

Does base decoration count?

Actually, I do own a single black templar terminator with as storm shield and power sword which was burried in a box of ork bits I got. But I voted "None" anyways. The percentage would be below 1% anyways.

If they ever manage to release primaris Grimaldus or Helbrecht this might change though.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

i'd say about 90% in normal scale.
In fact aside from a small mechanicus force and 3 superheavies (2 IG tanks and a titan) my entire collection consists of my dark angels, homebrew salamanders successors, and grey knights
In epic scale it is probably more 50/50 since i have a rather large guard contingent as well as a size-able mechanicus force.

In terms of actual "Space Marine" models about 33%, excluding Scouts, WHFB kitbashes, repurposed Chaos Marines etc.

I put 1-10%, but only because there was no option of 0-1%.

My SM collection consists of the upper part of a Jump Pack Marine, a single power fist (in use on a Tempestor Prime), and a few heads that are still rolling around in my bitz box.

However, I have technically got a few more SMs if I include the ones from my ancient Space Crusade game.

Well I own a few of those "space marine comes with a paint set" marines from years ago and one sister of battle.

Just never had an interest in them as models; love them in stories, artwork etc.....If given infinite resources and time I'd probably add Sisters, Custodes and Imperial Guard tank focused (lots of forgeworld) to my collection; but otherwise I've just never really got a thing for owning bog standard marines.

Probably around 75% Might be less if I count more recent stuff. I’ve not done a full reckoning for 9th for my Eldar, or added the YTD stuff to the tally (which would skew things towards the non-marine side)

I’d guess around 14k worth of Ultras, 1,500-2000 in deathwatch.

vs.

4kish Eldar and 500 points of growing nids.

All painted. You don’t get counted if you are not.

I’ll have to pass on the extra credit. I’ve not done a head count in a while, and haven’t updated my full rosters in battlescribe for 9th.

It was not due to that. Well before now. Last marine army i owned was maybe deathwing in 5th ed.

I just have had zero interest starting now as they are so broken it's boring. Why buy boring army?

Well slight correction. I have sons of horus for 30k.
