If so what kind?
They're only a couple of bucks but id rather have a recommendation on a pair rather than wasting money and time on guessing.

It's been a while since I've put anything together and either the bits are getting smaller or I'm getting older...
Thx.

I don't know of any brands as such, they are pretty simple tools all told so any set should do.

I would say get all metal ones and for models needle/fine tipped because most of the parts you'll pick up will be small. You might also get some rubber tipped ones since whilst metal tips work well, sometimes you need a little strip of rubber to hold a part still rather than let it roll/slip free from metal ones.

A curved end can also help a lot rather than purely straight needle points. It gives you a bit of an angle to work with .

O have to say I don't use mine that often, but when they are needed nothing else will do.

I bought a set similar to these (probably same, just different name branding) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Precision-Anti-Static-Electronics-Jewelry-making-Laboratory/dp/B01N6LW24H/ref=pd_day0_1?pd_rd_w=u55rY&pf_rd_p=8ec13b8a-30d2-48fc-8503-84c56766370d&pf_rd_r=C91D7N8HN0DW7A4DHX69&pd_rd_r=9190bfbf-eec2-4b77-9f4a-13e976ea91e8&pd_rd_wg=PAVWW&pd_rd_i=B01N6LW24H&psc=1

I also bought (and when I wasn't sure what I was looking for, was kindly sent) some of these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-696669-Cross-Action-Tweezers-2-Piece/dp/B0106JPAKY/ref=pd_day0_2?pd_rd_w=u55rY&pf_rd_p=8ec13b8a-30d2-48fc-8503-84c56766370d&pf_rd_r=C91D7N8HN0DW7A4DHX69&pd_rd_r=9190bfbf-eec2-4b77-9f4a-13e976ea91e8&pd_rd_wg=PAVWW&pd_rd_i=B0106JPAKY&psc=1

I don't think there's a model (I also do aircraft scale models, not just GW type stuff) I've built in recent years where I haven't used both for one reason or another.

I will occasionally use bent tip ones, but mostly for sticking tufts on bases and decal work. They do get pressed into service occasionally for fiddly bits like grenades.

Not 100% happy with the ones I have. There is a little pin that goes though the handle to keep things lined up, but just ends up poking my finger.

Sorry, bad pic, but it’s what I have already uploaded.

Spoiler:

I use something like these Sewing Machine Tweezers.

Pretty well only for applying rivets and later for transfers.

I use them on 15mm and smaller yes as there is allways a few tiny parts not ment to be held by human fingertips. (if you have done some 15-10mm tanks, you know what i talk about)

You just want to get the right kind of tweezers. I would say you need just 3 types: fine point and flat point, with and without self lock, and bendt tip. (for the realy tricky places on display models)
In terms of quality, dont go cheap but no need to go expensive either, just make shure that the tips are flush and aligned, low quality tweezers never are.
Tweezers ment for electronic works are not realy our thing, we want tweezers that are ment for watchmakers.

Could be that rubber tips are not realy for us as we use both plastic and super glue, and it could mess up the ruber tips.

I have a couple of pairs of long pointy type tweezers, I only really use them for scale models rather than miniatures as scale models tend to come with small fiddly parts that are too small to hold with your fingers.

I have multiple different kinds of tweezers, but normally they're used for scale aircraft and tanks to help with fiddly bits and photoetch. Haven't needed them for Warhammer as they're larger pieces.

Tweezers are useful to have in general, so I normally keep 2 or 3 that work were kind enough to 'donate' to me in my pouch of modelling tools. Their bread and butter is generally for placing items of foliage when I'm making natural bases.

Mine are technically veterinary forceps for micro surgery and they’re very good but they’re about €100 each. Definitely overkill but I didn’t pay for them!

Only for holding small parts.

Mine are first aid kit dressings forceps (6" long, bent prong, rounded tips - but I also have a pair of straight prong ones).

You can get slightly smaller ones (5" or so long) from stores like Daiso (Japanese discount store) in my area.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I've got some dental tweezers in various shapes my mrs picked up from her workplace. Being replaced with more up to date kit for them, but perfect for me. I've seen very similar looking ones in my local hobby shop.

I use them for particularly fiddly stuff where I don't trust myself to not fat-finger the bit into the wrong place.

I have a pair of very fine ones, with narrow pointy tips. They're expensive ones by some German company, I seem to recall. Not sure it'd be worth it to buy them for how little I use them, but when I do need them, they're indispensable.

The supply does not get to make the demands.
