Honestly, kind of expecting the answer to be no, but the following pic does seem to suggest they’re more in scale with the pictured Chaos Marines. However. I’ve not seen those Chaos Marines in real life, and I can’t say for certain it’s not just a jaunty camera angle.

No. There's a picture floating around with the new Kasrkin next to an old cadian. Ever so slighly taller, but also standing more upright. Definitely not been rescaled the same way other recent models have been.

Huh. Cool, sorta maybe.

Looking again and I still can’t decide. They’re definitely better proportioned, as in no muckle geet hands, feet and heads.

I think they are like the KT veteran Guardsman plastics ie. better proportioned but still the same size as the previous models.

Which is great in theory but bad for my wallet

A new chimera? The lower hull looks about the same but the upper hull and turret look different.

I haven't been following too closely, but do I have it right that the "new" Cadian troopers are just the old Cadians with an additional accessory sprue and a markup to $5 each? I'm confused then about why the Stormtroopers would be so much larger. IIRC, they were always a smidge bigger, but that's shocking height difference.

The current Cadians have been reboxed with a new sprue (below), and there's an entirely new range coming out (linky).

That is unnecessary scale creep.

It's definitely scale creep, but it seems about in line with the height of Battle Sisters and other new human models. New Sororitas tower over old guardsman models (and oldmarines).

I'd be interested in seeing this model next to a new HH beakie and a Primaris Marine, I'd wager its almost the same height as the beakie.

Has anyone put the new Stormtrooper next to a Primaris? As hard as I am on GW, it seemed sensible that with 30k and current SM releases, the size of a Marine was finally a near-appropriate height over a standard Cadian trooper and yet not pushing into Primaris territory. If this is the new height for guardsmen, we're back where we were (or worse) when the plastic Cadians were first released and they were the same height (and taller than some) of the existing Space Marine range.

My personal conspiratorial opinion is that if Cadians are going to now be the giants we're seeing here, that's one step closer to squatting standard-sized marines.

No-one has admitted to having them yet (the Kasrkin were 'officially' released on Saturday).

Fellas, Kasrkin per lore are “given minor biological modifications that increase their overall resilience while allowing them to move quickly despite their heavier gear.”

While that’s quite vague one solution that would fit that is just feeding them growth hormone. Of course, the square-cubed law means this would only achieve so much but it would still fit for some of the modifications.

That and making them a bit taller is a good way to make it totally clear that they’re a different unit.

They've only rescaled a couple of models.
