Subject: More Firstborn Marine kits going "Last Chance to Buy"
A few of those, like the speeders, are a surprise but then again might be ripe for new models! The stalker hunter is also surprising as that isn't that old?

My guess is that the stalker hunter sold very little(maybe close to 0), which means that they can technically safely sunset it. I know quite a few Space Marine players, both casual and competitive, that never bought it.

At least old kits will be floating around eBay for years.
And some will be in the vast Space Marine back up range of HH....

It’s not that bad since we have data cards for all the current models for 10th. Just picked up a landspeeder for my Deathwatch due to how many Blast weapons my list generally uses.
My Ravenwing has many bikes, speeders and attack bikes. Won’t be dropping them.

It's one of the most pointless kits in any range and always has been. It's not cool, unique or interesting. It's not good. There was never any reason for it to exist in the first place.

GW should have just upsized Marines instead of this whole stupid Primaris thing. The Space Marine models were in desperate need of a refresh but GW were too chicken to just update them properly and instead wanted to gradually phase them out.

Presumably the Ravenwing upgrade sprue will go when the DA codex comes out as it means keeping the bike sprue in production (and there will be a replacement for the Primaris bikes).

They deserved better than this slow death.

Slow death - there are new Marines almost every week for 30k?

Last Chance to Buy for the kits and a number of the units (not all) are having their rules moved over to Legends (or are basically becoming official proxy models for Primaris units), which to me is the more surprising part.

I've actually never seen a Stalker or a Hunter in person myself (except the unpurchased kits sitting on the shelf of my FLGS), they did not seem to be at all popular.

40k legends will soon be a game by itself (or you just go back and play an earlier edition of course).
At some point, I will have to assess what edition might be the last for me. Not because of the game itself, but my age. Might already be at that point, and it would be poetic for me to finish with HH epic since Space Marine was my initial introduction to this hobby (at least the warhammer side of it)

Storm Speeders are the replacement unit for Land Speeders - they're a bit bigger, but what isn't these days?

I mean, it was a highly specialized kit against flyers that came out in response to the flyer madness in older editions(before 8th). It was basically too specialized.

Damn it I didn't financially recover from the last round of squattening. I still like the look of alot of the old range (company command and tech marine especially) and hope they don't all vanish off the face of the earth like the old chaos marine and chaos termie kits did...

Company Command box, sort of? The captain in it is 6th-5th ed era, but the rest of the box is 3rd ed. Even has the old "Snip off the handle, slide the gun on the hand" type system.
