I’m….open to this. Wasn’t previously aware it was coming. But I’m open to it,
Yeah, this one's been development for a while, and it looks like it will actually be in theaters before Kraven (and we saw his trailer a few months ago). Hopefully it does better than Morbius...

Let's just say that Morbius has a 15% Rotten Tomatoes score and has won five Golden Raspberry awards

I even watched the frankly unutterably awful Suicide Squad. A film so rank and awful its sole redeeming feature was Margot Robbie squeezed into hotpants. And even then her mudflaps were doing incredibly heavy lifting,
Spesh when we saw that Harley’s “Mr J” and nobody could quite understand the appeal of a scrawny wee get with all the menace of a random little old lady tutting at you in the street for no discernible reason.k

Interesting. Looks like they've got some clever ideas with it, but it does have the same feel as Birds of Prey; grounded female team follow up to a horrible film that's likely substantially better than its predecessor, but not great in a way that pulls audiences. Hope its good, but I can't say it's on my radar.
Granted, I've never loved the whole spider totem thing. Even as a kid, the Fox cartoon kind of lost me when Madame Web was introduced. This is way more interesting than the version sitting in a chair spouting cryptic advice, but I kind of tune out at anything getting this close to Morlun.
I mean, it's a Sony Spider-Man adjacent film, so odds are it'll be pretty terrible. Sure, it might be cool to see Anya Corazon on screen, but I'd much rather these things come naturally to the actual Spider-Man movies than these vestigial side-quests that Sony insists on making.
That, and I'd much rather have Silk than any of the characters in this film.

It's Sony, they've only got their small Spider-Man sized slice of the Marvel universe to work from.

I always think about Red vs Blue, and how Director Church was only given one AI and was told he had to make do.
Thus, he found an alien that could torture the AI until it split off various emotions into sub-AIs, giving the Director additional near-complete AIs to use, but as a result all the AIs were kind of broken.
Meh. They gotta build up these Spiderman adjacent characters in actual Spiderman movies before they give them top billing, imo.
That said, this will probably do better then the Kraven movie, if its still happening.

I'm aware the trailer/movie exists, was making a joke about Kravens multiple delays.

If they can sell it more like a suspense/supernatural thriller movie than a superhero movie it might do alright. Especially if the budget is as low as it appears.
Focusing on a big hero vs villain punch-up in the trailers will probably kill the movie like you say.
I'm willing to possibly watch this. I'm not super hyped by it, but on the plus side it does look like a female lead hero movie that is done right (although possibly not well) so that's a plus.
I don't have my "cringe sensors" beeping, but at the same time I'm kinda "meh" about it too. It might wind up on my "I'll watch it as soon as it's for free on my Stars Movie subscription, along with Kraven and Morbius.
