One thing Astartes had going for it was it slotted into a well established universe I was familiar with. There were a lot of questions without immediate answers (who’s ship are they boarding, what’s up with the sphere, etc) but we knew the framework they were being asked in. So the little snippets of animation we were being fed stood better on their own.

This is just a well animated intro/action scene done with a retro-future aesthetic from the bulky protagonists. I’ve love to watch a full episode, but there was very little meat on this one. Half of it was intro cards explaining the setup.
