Is that Imperial Sector kit basically the exact sam terrain that came with Kill Team: Chalnath?

Also, is the Imperial Sector wall set compatible with the Manufactorum walls? Mainly trying to figure out if the two can be combined on a per-wall-basis, that could create fresh looking builds

It looks like there is more of it than was included with Chalnath, but yeah, it's the same sprues.

It's a shame they didn't do the SoB Sanctum at the same time, it's mostly the same sprues but it goes for megabucks on eBay.

It was the only place to get 'diagonal' walls and floors, mainly new sprues.

I think the Sector kit comes with some wall sections that are triple-wide (i.e a single piece that looks like three wall sections joined side to side).

This is true. A sprue with 3-wide wall section (and two single walls) is unique to Imperial Sector and it's included four times. In addition 3 floor and 3 ruin sprues are included.

I am so happy to see these return. I only got Kill Team starter set and Derelict Factorum but missed Basilicanum and Sanctum back in the day. I just wish the balcony sprue from SoB Battle Sanctum and debris from Urban Conquest were also re-released.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

Given my experience with their last terrain MTO, I'm more than a little hesitant.

The detailing on this stuff is great, but I feel that the floor to floor height is about an inch too big. The 3 inch standard of the original Necrimhnda stuff was great for actually allowing multiple levels to be used by things other than flying beasties, but is probably too short in this 32mm scale age.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

OK, IMHO these are some of the best terrain kits released by GW. I picked up one of each on initial release, plus the set that came with the KT18 starter set. So adaptable and configurable, so many options to build different structures, I wished I’d got a lot more.

I usually skip the MTO releases, but this is gonna be a sore one for my wallet…

I have the Sororitas building just waiting on my shelf to kitbash this monstrosity, great to see the flying buttresses and statues coming back, just what I needed…

It was late, and took a couple months of emails to finally get it delivered.

3 inch floors were a bit cramped at the time for anyone with tall hats or banners or raised swords. 5 inch floors are a lot better to reach into as well. To make them more usable in games, I've agreed with opponents to count them as 3" vertically for moving, easy fix.

If the Wall Of Martyrs MTO last time was any indication, these will cost more than they ever did..

Geez, I had no idea these kits were MTO already - aren’t they only a couple of years old? I’m probably not paying enough attention - I know terrain kits often have short release windows.

Probably a sign that I’m long overdue to build the ones in my pile of shame then.

To those that already have some of this terrain, what sort of coverage would these kits get you? Would one of each of the advertised kits provide sufficient cover for a 6x4 table, perhaps with a few craters and scatter terrain?

Or is that really a Kill Team type set up, i.e. much smaller?

I've seen some pictures on blogs with the Sector Imperialis Realm of Battle board furnished with these kits, but it's hard to tell how many.

Given this is a MTO run, we're unlikely to get prices in advance.

People might be able to tell you retail prices before they shuffled off into the sunset, but I'd treat that as a lower bound.

I don't know what happened to him but it took them over six months to get to me AND they sent a wrong kit.

To their credit they let me keep it and sent a correct one but still...

About 10 years IIRC. Time has been on overdrive since COVID, if not since Y2k.

Each wall section (including column) is 2 1/2 inches wide if you want to put a few markers on your board to size them out.

The real question is why aren't these on regular sale all the time? 40k needs terrain, and these are great kits... and hardly any other terrain is left anyway.
