So I will be demo'ing a (possibly) participation Dark Ages Britain game. Assuming we can get the rules finished.
Who else is off to Salute?

I'll be there with my daughter and possibly my gaming friend.
Word of warning though if anyone driving from South London, Blackwall tunnel will have a new toll/stealth tax in place as of 7 Apr... I just hope the Elizabeth line or DLR are running...

Fee for the Blackwall is due to the Silvertown Tunnel finally opening.
As someone who drives that route to get to their office, I kinda welcome it. £2.50 each way is a scunner, but hopefully it will mean the end of Blackwall as a notorious bottleneck. Even better if the HGVs use Silvertown, as the north bounded Blackwall was dug in Victorian times, and is not friendly to HGVs at all.

I used to drive through blackwall mon to fri as well, then flipped to coach when my car park got too pricey, now on trains as we had to move office from canary wharf to Liverpool St... I miss canary wharf...
Need to plan my shopping, looking to get Gaslands Ruefuelled rules and maybe some vehicle addon packs, might be tempted by some 7tv stuff, want to pick up a rubicon tiger tank and possibly m5 halftrack for bolt action, will also be on the lookout for some more mdf terrain (ww2 themed again) and possibly a 4'x4' game mat

We are flying over from Belfast on Friday morning at stupid O'clock in the morning to spend the day wandering about London. Then a nice quiet evening and Salute the next day. More expensive than flying there and back on the Saturday but much less stressful.
We did this last year as well, the DLR playing silly buggers was not helpful.
We did the The Imperial War Museum last year, first visit since childhood. Any suggestions as to a good side jaunt this year?

Yes going and definitely looking forward to it this year.
There have been some very impressive looking previews of demo tables doing the rounds on social media, looking forward to seeing them in person.
I wonder if they do anything with the viewing of painting competition entries (so there is some sort of entrance/exit). The free-for-all and scrum isn't ideal and always makes it very difficult to view.

I was hoping to go this year but I'm all wrapped up with other things sadly. Had great fun last year, but with everything else going on I can't justify the expense of going (the fact that GW just dropped a £100 SB boxed set doesn't help matters )

Thank you, the Wallace Collection is an excellent idea and we will not be that far away from there on Friday (Foyles, Forbidden Planet, Atllantis Bookshop...) so going after an early lunch sounds good.
I have just dug my backpack out of the attic and found some money in in it from last year. Only £4.73, tucked in before going through the scanner at Heathrow, but still nice.
A useful reminder that while notes are necessary, and English notes at that, Northern Irish notes are valid legal tender but they are unusual enough to made traders wary (and I understand) so I have to make sure to visit cash machines they supply them. Back to the point, traders are really grateful for change, pound coins especially, particularly in the afternoon, so if you take a few bags of them it will be appreciated.

Best of luck with the painting comp.
Thats something I need to get into one of these days. Painting something special for a comp.
