Tapping the Glass at the Herpetarium

Alright, I’ve officially run out of things to watch.

I’ve burned through all the submarine dramas, Guy Ritchie flicks, British/American commando movies, war epics, Jet Li masterpieces, kaiju spectacles, and superhero films I can find.

So now I’m looking for something new... anything with grit, style, or solid storytelling.

Just a few rules:

No “realistic” medical dramas

No vampire romances

And absolutely nothing where the dog dies

Hit me with your best suggestions

"Vulkan: I do not understand the question."

It is an older film but you might enjoy Old Yeller. it isn't a medical drama and there are no obvious vampires in it.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

The Apple

Not a good movie, but a very entertaining one. I am not sure where you can track it down for now.

You can also watch both season of Nikko Samurai on Tubi.....

The Art of Racing in the Rain.

But seriously, check out The Apple.

Or Hundreds of Beavers.

Or Hausu and Labyrinth of Cinema.

Or Sisu.

Or Beau is Afraid.

You might love love watching each of them, but you’ll remember the experience.

If we're going to bring up The Apple we should also go go with a Phantom of the Paradise(1974) recommendation.
