Yeah, me too! I remember a friend bringing epic knights into school. Smitten. I even remember buying WD: 126 & 127 for Confrontation, as Necromunda was then. Good times.

Our Confrontation campaign stalled at the very start when one of my mates rolled twice on the armour table, receiving:
1) Terminator armour
2) "your choice" - He chose another set of Terminator armour
Plague surgeon turned out really well, looks like he has a hard day in the emergency room. Gore and grime looks spot on, I await the emergence of "Bob". ;-)

I think the penguin is a direct rip off of Falcon in the Avengers! Seriously he turned out great, really made me smile. That drone is repulsive in the best of ways.

Batman's in trouble with a bunch of penguins like that . Nice work on the drone as well, I like how dirty your model are while still retaining their shape. IF I may give some advice on the lense (assulming it's finished): make the top highlight crescent-moon shaped, and leave the top left quarter black. For the bottom right highlight, go with sharper highlights for the lighter colours.

Good tips. I shall apply.
Anyway, about that penguin:
Much fun
And next, the beast of Santa Prisca himself... BANE !
Still some highlights to do. He's a bit less grimdark than most of the Bats stuff as he's for the DCU game (or rather, that's how I'll be using him).
Scale shot:
He's a big bugger. That's Arkham Origins Batman next to him.
Started another trash barricade:
Not a bad day. Got my Dreadball teams through the post, so going to sit and sort through them at some point. Need to decide whether to leave the hex bases clear or not. Although they look snazzy, One team is part painted already, and the new starter teams come glued to theirs, so painting will be tricky regardless. I'm tempted to go black and add some neon trim to the front three hex edges, to mark the threat zone.
As for building, well, IKEA furniture for the kids has been the main event today, and other boring real life stuff like replacing a fridge. Rock and bloody roll, I tell you. Eldest is away at scout camp, learning the noble art of whittling.
I did, however, get my Tallyman in the post along with some interesting modern 32mm vehicles to review from KORE Thinking.

DeathZap is a design space that's been set up by Graham Dixon and myself as part his hobby blog, part my commission space, part general idea community. That's not as wanky as it sounds, I promise.
You'll see what we're working on, Graham's antics with his new laser cutter, my commission models/terrain and our other hobby projects. Plus, you'll get sneak previews of some of the exclusives you can find in the pages of Initiative Magazine and bigcomicpage.com . And, you know, win free stuff.
And currently, we need help! Specifically, can anyone do us a better version of the DeathZap Studio logo? We did it in a bit of a rush and it pretty much does what was intended, but not quite. We can't pay cash (we don't have any), but we can possibly cut something lasery based rewards. It needs to work for Facebook, Twitter and to be able to go onto a t-shirt that can be worn without too many people wondering what the hell it is. Basically, quite retro but nice and simple as well
Automatically Appended Next Post: Spoiler-free thoughts on Avengers: IW.
It's very good. Thanos is definitely drawn from the best versions of him, and is a convincing, well-rounded villain, although the Black Order are a bit meh, which was inevitable.
Concerns that some heroes don't get enough screen time were (largely) unfounded.
Minimal swearing and gore - family friendly (Joe loved it, and he's not quite 8), as did Dan & herself.
It's got the right amount of funny, plenty of feels (although I'm not quite as heartbroken as I'd expected) and has some great action sequences too. 3D is nothing special, but the visuals are generally stunning.
Some great cameos, some real surprises (one real hand-over-mouth in shock), and a great post credits Coda.
Not bad

Having an absolute blast rescuing the poorly painted, mono-posed Teraton team I picked up for £4. They were blobs of ochre to start with... Here's the first finished guy. He's a Guard: they block the Strike Zone and Slam opponents. I've mixed and matched bodies and left arms, but right arms are position dependent - only Strikers and Jacks get Dreadball gloves. Teratons are slow, so don't get Strikers, but they do get Jacks, who can do everything (just not as well), and they're also one of the only teams to get a Keeper, which is essentially heavier Guard with the ability to Punt the ball. I've converted him.x
Better shot of the threat edges (maybe) at the front I am totally smitten with these guys. Loads of fun to paint, even if I'm filling and tidying the previous heinous mess.
Some progress on Nanda Parbat piece for the London BMG co-ordinator. Making zen garden. Not fun.
Got hold of some of KORE Thinking's new modern vehicles. They're all good but my goodness I love that tuktuk. Scale shot with KM, TT, studio miniatures and mantic. Resin is crisp and well cast, some bubbling on the underside but nothing major and certainly not really noticeable. No warping on the wheels and very consistent sizing.
Started the next batch of nurgle - the rest of the thermal shock troops Nothing to show yet though. Interestingly, I'm spraying the next batch of on sprue. Never tried this before, although I know some folk swear by it. I guess because I tend to convert so heavily it hadn't ever seemed sensible. But I'll try it and see, eh?
So, on we go! Graven
