It's not taking a heavy weapon unless you have at least 10 men in your squad lest you violate the Chaos Codex Astartes (which is just like the regular Codex Astartes except it is renegade and stuff so it has horns but it doesn't have rending).

Me neither. I can think of a few explanations though.
One possibility is that
GW plans to release an entire line of Possessed Vehicles Gone Wild. In future editions we may see new sprues for use with the Predator, Vindicator, Land Raider, and Rhino kits to create the entire menagerie of daemonic vehicles. By 7th edition you will be able to transport your titless daemonettes around the battlefield in style with unbound possessed Rhinos (a.k.a. Soul Guzzlers)!
Another possibility is that
Codex: Chaos Daemons will include some new fluff to explain what the hell a Soul Grinder is doing in a daemon army. Like maybe, in the waning days of the 13th Black Crusade, Sarth Didious, King of the Defilers, betrays Abaddon and executes Order 666 which causes all the Defilers on Cadia to go apeshit and join the Chaos Daemons (which are a separate army from the Chaos Space Marines). Which ties in to...
...the last possibility - that they're releasing the Soul Grinder to test the waters in anticipation of
Codex: Defiler Kingdoms (tentative 6th edition release). Much like how daemons were taken out of C:
CSM and made into their own army, Defilers and Soul Grinders would be spun off to create Defiler Kingdoms.
GW would then release more sprues for use with the Defiler kit, allowing us to create all the myriad types of Defiler. Expect sprues to make Khorne Defilers, Slaanesh Defilers, Nurgle Command Defilers on Palanquin, Fat Defilers, Female Defilers, Ninja Defilers (direct only), Pirate Defilers, Out-of-Gas Defilers, and Pegasus Defilers (Defilers riding Pegasuses). The
LatD will also be re-imagined and will appear in altered form as the Gnob Gobblers, the diminutive mutant helpers of the Defiler Kingdom army. Sarth Didious will appear as a special character.
