The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

So there aren't plans for a plastic demon prince, are there? Cause I can only think that would be a good move on GeeDub's part (as long as it had wings!), as well as a pretty fun kit.

Yes, quite advanced along from what I hear, but I've no idea of a release date.

The sketches in ^^ pics though look to me like old ones for the current DP. Isn't there a date on them somewhere that confirms this ?

Well then!

The DP sketch in that batch of pics is dated 01/28/02 it looks like. I was hoping for a plastic version of that, personally. I like the hulking ex-power armor prince myself, with big crushy hands of destruction, not something akin to the gangly metal princes that used to comprise the fantasy DP "kit."

Some rumoured fantasy stats

Bloodletters
M5 WS5 BS0 S6 T3 W1 I4 A1 Ld7
Daemonic, KB, MR 1, Hellblade

US 10+
They have 2 special banners.
If Khorne herald enters the unit, he gaves them hatred.

Herald of Khorne 115 pts
M5 WS7 BS0 S6 T4 W2 I6 A3 Ld8

Daemonic, MR 1, Hatred, KB, Locus of Khorne
may ride Juggernauth or Chariot of Khorne, and has access to 7 new gifts.

Seems alright...although I splutter at S6 for fantasy troops ! The Herald boosting the stats sounds plausible--look at the note next to the Nurgle Herald

Wow, S6 KB with hatred

I can only assume these guys are gonna cost some serious points? Or if nothing else, they've got T3 and eat jezzail / ratling gun like every other naked 5+ demonic save combat nutter

Damn, those Chaos Hounds are old-school!
I expected the next picture to be Arbaal the Undefeated (if thats is proper english name) to come around and go for a walk with them.

But all those models don't really thrill be at all. Are the Plaguebearers even different?

No they're not different, and that's probably the point. They're not doing any Nurgle plastics, at least not for a while, so in the meantime they've released this new metal command group to fit with the new rules, and they've made sure that they look like the current Plague Bearers so that they fit in.

Mr. Morley parted company with GW a while back actually, just before the High Elf book AFAIK.

this is his website.

The guy who had been sculpting the FW Greater Demons left to go and work for WETA, but according to the FW guys I spoke to at Games Day, he specifically askedto be allowed to finish the range so there is a Lord of Change a'comin'. Presumably an unproofread one that.... aaahh... you see where I'm going to go with that.

Finally, GW has done the impossible and given Skulltaker the right amount of skulls as befits his status of a taker of skulls.

The Serious Sam Defiler is okay, I guess. I'll probably have to buy a different head, but what do you do?

Anyone know if the Slanni Trannie is carrying Malal's mask on his/her majorette baton?

Does anyone know of a list of the prices that correspond with the "band" letters on GW's sneak peak sheets (preferably in $ )?

I've been trying to guess at the prices listed for the daemons, but assuming they are labled alphabetically in ascending order, I am having a tough time making them make sense.

Of everything GW has released in the way of models in the last year, this one is the most beautiful. Lol. It is crazy. I love it. It makes sense too. And H.B.M.C im with you on that maiking a perfect Iron Warrior daemon prince.

Slanni Trannie... ROFL. Please, let's all refuse to refer to that model by any other name.

The deamonette plastics aren't as bad as I thought they were, upon second glance. They just don't have the awesome dancing poses that the last (er, current) edition models do.

And on a side note, that Autarch bust is amazing. If FW want a big money-maker, they'd buy that puppy and cast it up pronto.

EDIT: Upon reviewing Gary Morley's site, I was surprised at how many minis that I _like_ were sculpted by his hand. I guess his record may be better than I had thought. And lest I seem too mushy, I am hoping that the current round of GW ship-jumping pulls the Morrisons along with it, too. A few decent sculpts do not make up for a vast swathe of terribly distorted proportions, buck-toothed daemons, and ridiculous poses.

yeah...
Couple of questions?
Why's he called a soul grinder? i see no grinding apparatus on him...
No tracks to grind you under etc... just lots of spiky stuff... Soul Stabby half deamon machine thing..?

Has anyone comfirmed if this codex stands alone... as in not compatable with the CSM codex...
Because with out marines about to have bound him to a defiler , and then he breaks out, I really don't see where all the machinery bits are coming from?

yeah...
